    Okay people, as the Astronomer, I have yet another cool Space Event to tell you about!!!

    The Geminids are here! and tonight is the best night to view them! luckily, in my area, its totally clear out, and light pollution isnt that much of a problem.

    Okay, so it started the 6th, and will end the 17th.
    I hope that people are able to see them at 10 PM, however I am hearing it will be best at 2 AM. XD

    Lookto the south and find the constellation Gemini (Sorry, I dunno where it is myself for now XD)
    For all you east coast people- You have a better view! as for you Westerners- You can also see them, just not as well

    I'l keep you updated

    I heard about those on the news. Dang it all! It's cloudy in my area of B.C so I can't see them. Stupid pollution and clouds! Go ruin someone else's view! XD

    My brother and I have been staying out to watch them lately! We've only seen a few, but only because it's below-freezing outside at night and we can hardly stand to stay out for very long, lol. >_< I wish it was a bit warmer, but ah well... They're still so neat! I love watching the stars and things like that.

    -.-;;;
    Your lucky.
    Well, as we begin to move farther away from them, they will decline.
    How many have I seen?
    0!!!! Wonderful 0! -.- Screw light pollution...Luckily, the Quantrids are comong up (start Dec. 8, best viewing Jan. 4)
    However, since its Janurary, bad weather is bound to come =P

    am i too late??? what's the date??? >_< why didn't you tell me sooner? lol, jk, so what do they look like? stars? or shooting stars?

    Hm, not sure....
    I know the Leonids can be seen from England (in October I believe) But they dont always put up a good show...
    The times they do, I've hear they are amazing...
    -.-;;; and yes, I woke up at 1 AM just to see them 2 years ago, I never saw them...>>:;

    Hmm ... *lives in the UK* ... I'll have to take a look see what I can spot before I go to bed which will probably be around 10ish anyway ^_^

    Anyway chance I'll see anything in the UK ?

    Hm, I'l go check again...I have a better idea! I'l lock this thread and start an Astronomy one, and go there! I'l keep everyone updated! XD
