Of course, any kind of balls work for every pokémon! It is suggested a master ball because it is extremely hard to catch, but you can perfectly catch it with a plain pokéball.
The thing about hrowing pokeballs and great balls with mewtwo is that they often miss the pokemon. I hear it's definitely possible, but considering I've tried it with a full stock of balls and ran out (yes I always weaken the pokemon).... I'd expect to be there for a while.
Ha ha. A friend told me I'd have to use my Masterball because anything else goes right through him as if he were a ghost. I caught him fine with an Ultraball. But it was a headache. Use your Masterball. :D
Using the masterball is the perfect way to catch mewtwo... but for the first time, I catch it by using a Great Ball when his HP went red, isn't that neat...? :)
I've always used my master ball on Mewtwo. The reason being is that I don't need it anymore and i didn't feel like wasting my time throwing dozens and dozens of ultra balls to save the master ball. THen you never end up using it.
Well, yes you can use an Ultra Ball, or any ball, for that matter, but it wil frustrate you and you'll eventually want to throw something in the end, unless you are pretty calm and collected with these things. I'd personally just use the Master Ball and be done with it. There's not much else you can catch with a Master Ball and not catch with a Ultra Ball.
