I heard it in the news, microchips helps people. As an example, a horse that equipped by a microchip can run very fast. A lost dog can be found easily because it has a microchip detector and lastly for humans. It is used to know your health habits. I still don't know what are the side effects of these microchips. btw, sorry for the bad grammar.

If I remember microchips for humans can be used as a tracking device or just to stimulate nerves meaning if you have nerve damaged and as result have limited functions to your i.e. hand, the microchip stimulates the damaged nerve and giving back getting rid of those limited functions

Er, microchips have been used on animals for years, I believe. My dog has a micro-chip so we can track her down if she ever goes missing. Regarding humans, there were some discussions about micro-chipping children in Ireland, but the government decided against it. I don't know if micro-chips can enhance the performance of humans or animals though, I think you might be confusing micro-chips with nanotechnology or hormone enhancers there. And even then, nanotechnology won't be making people run faster or be stronger or anything else for a very long time.

Oh, lol. I guess I am very outdated then. >:J

A microchip implant is also a legal requirement for chips to be attached to pets in some countries as identification.
As far as I know, they currently can't be used as long range tracking devices as they require moar energy and anntenna. In humans they're being tested as a sort of ID, key or activation system.

Yes you are. As said animals have been chipped for years. I dislike the idea of human chipping, bit too much of the stereotypical Big Brother ideology for me.

I knew about this ever since i saw a commercial about dogs being tagged with a chip.
i just don't like the idea of chipping humans though, it takes away the privacy of being alone.
I honestly can't sleep when i know someone is watching me, or keeping close surveillance to me.

    Agreed.

I just hope they don't start being put in people as some kind of lawful requirement. I'd deem such an action by governments to be gravely immoral.

    Bingo! :)

They also plan to blackmail people into getting them (ie: if you don't take the chip you don't exist and the world would evolve past you meaning no job no money blah blah blah.)

This is old news but the RFD chips are nothing but bad news.

I lol'd at that. It's a shame some people will actually fall for these things. :|

This was on the Simpsons, Krusty has one. I have always wondered what a Microchip does! But I think it is as some above posters stated it is a tracking device!

as far as I know they're already being used by people as a way to prevent kidnappings, however its use as an ID is still in development as fasr as I know, it's exciting, it could bring a lot of benefits, though yes, it could bring some problems if it becomes mandatory or something

That's kinda creepy, man. Like having a barcode tattoo. We watched this video in American Studies once about this guy in the future trying to order a pizza, and the lady on the other end knew EVERYTHING about him; his eating habits, where he lived, how much money he had, his cholesterol, stuff like that. It seems to me like microchips would only help us into that kind of world x.X

well, if such information can be handled responsibly then I don't see the problem, but I agree, it shouldn't cut into the rights of privacy

Eh... I'd still be creeped out about it. ^^; Plus, in the video we watched, the woman that he was talking to [to order the pizza from] kept making all of these assumptions, like because of his blood pressure he shouldn't have red meat and his budget wouldn't allow for a pizza that was too large and stuff like that. It was SO weird. x.x

I can understand a doctor having that kind of information, but a pizza woman? XD I think that's rather funny XD

the government is putting microchips in people so that we stay out of their way when they begin their "NWO" or New World Order.

Yeah, better watch it though you might be classed as a "conspiracy theorist" even though George Bush Sr. admitted NWO on 09/11/1991 & CFR has admitted it countless times among others...

Anyway back on topic though a response to...

...since text posts makes me sound like a crazy person who believes "anything" maybe an information vid with some intense music will help, lol. Here

Seriously though if the people don't want the chip in their future the solution is to take action alert others.

I think it's an awesome idea with a great cause.

However, I'm sure there will be a great deal of "drama" because of what those of Christian religion believe.
