Cassidy followed them down the hall, getting lost in the shuffle. Her eyes alert, she searched in vain for her friends, and for the life of her, could not remember her way to Gryffindor Tower. She pushed her way through the students, trying to make her way, when she felt a hand grab the back of her robe, and pull her away.
"I believe you have detention," Snape's dry, tight voice crackled behind her. She jumped involuntarily.
"But what about classes being cancelled?" she pleaded. Anything but detention with him!
"You are coming with me," he snarled, and dragged her off towards the doors of the castle.
Cassidy wriggled herself out of his grip.
"What's your deal?!" she shrieked, her hand on her wand. She knew that it was hopeless to try and fight Snape, however, her intuition was very shart right now. She narrowed her eyebrows and looked at him, rain dripping down her nose.
Snape put a vanishing charm on her books to send them to her room, and grabbed her by the arm.
"Fifty points from Gryffindor," he snarled, and pulled her towards the Forbidden Forest.
"But, we can't...!" she cried, fear like nothing she had ever felt before crept into her heart. She pulled her hood over her head. Her stomach flipped around in her body, making her feel ill.
"We can and we are! Now stop speaking or you will earn yourself a week's worth of detention!" Snape snarled as they reached the dark, looming trees.
Cassidy looked up at them fearfully. Just being near Snape was enough for her defenses to fall, for her to feel intense, painful fear. She grimaced.
"Accio, bo staff!" she called desperately, and her bo staff instantly appeared. She grabbed it, and they entered the forest.
"You cannot defend yourself with such a useless thing," Snape scoffed at her, despite the gloom and frightening surroundings. He narrowed his eyebrows, but kept his eyes straight ahead.
And suddenly, Cassidy was in her vision from that afternoon.
They reached the cave, Cassidy nearly shaking with fear.
"This is where they have been hiding them," he growled, and went inside. He muttered something, and the tip of his wand became a small, but bright flame.
Cassidy was about to ask "who?" but thought better of it. He seemd to be favoring his arm (I think that's where his tatoo thingy is from Voldermort?), but pressed on none the less.
Near the back of the cave was a nest, as round and deep as a four-person dinner table. Cassidy peered in wonder, but Snape held her back.
"Just as I thought" he murmured, and pulled Cassidy towards the entrance of the cave. "Chimeara."
Cassidy looked at him quizzled, now soaked to the bone and shivering from the cold. Snap snapped his head around, as if he had heard something.
And it pounced.
A massive creature, bearing the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a dragon, swooped down at Snape, preparing to attack. Snape muttered something, and his wand became a wretched, jagged sword. He brandished it towards the crreature.
However much magic Snape knew, it was not enough to overpower the nast, bloodthirsty Chimeara. It tackled him to the ground, Snape crying out curse upon curse.
Cassidy stood in complete fear. It snagged at her arms and legs, holding her fast. She had never felt so dreadful in her whole life, but standing there would only get them both killed.
"H-hang on!" she cried, running behind the hungry beast. She poked its hind leg with her bo staff.
It turned to her with rage and hunger in its eyes, and roared.
Cassidy stood her ground, waiting for the beast to attack. She blocked its powerful swipes at her body, parrying them with her bo, and striking it when she could.
The Chimeara came at her with its teeth, snarling, and biting, and caught the end of her bo, splitting the sturdy wood a few inches. She withdrew the bo quickly, and stood as the beast prepared to attack once more.
Suddenly, she reached into her pocket. Snape had managed to stab the poor beast in the back. How he had climbed onto the massive beast in the first place, Cassidy had no idea. He was about to take another stab, when the beast flung him off.
By now, Cassidy had wedged her wand in the split part of her bo, and tied it securely with her shoelace. She pointed it at the beast, a newfound confidence in her entity. She stared the beast down.
"Wingardian...LEVIOSA!!" she cried, swatting it in the nose with a powerful blow from her bo staff. Dazed, the beast found itself floating in the air.
"Do something!" she cried to Snape, who had managed to stand.
Snape charged at the beast, and when he had found himself under the massive creature, thrust his sword upwards into its soft belly, stabbing its heart and killing it instantly.
"Get out...!" Cassidy gasped, as her control over the levitation of the beast gave way.
Snape grabbed his sword wand, and leapt away from the creature just in time. The beast fell heavily on the damp, soft earth, and lay dead at the cave entrance.
Cassidy sighed, cold, wet, and exhausted. She heard the sound of heavy footsteps in the distance. They sounded like a giant's. A dog barked urgently.
It was then that Cassidy's body gave out, and she collapsed next to the Chimeara on the cold, wet earth.
OOC: I hope that didn't interfere too much with what you guys had planned...if so, I would be more than happy to change my post!
and BTW...I think Riachu Master's character really helped all the others develop. I mean, we can't have all good, perfect people on the rp, can we? I don't think he was very perfect at all, and his arrogant, pushy character was really something fun to work with!
And also, perhaps it would help if Blaine explained exactly what the plot was to begin with. I went back to the first rp, and didn't understand it all very well. It would have helped to give us all a chance to correct ourselves...but if leaving is what she wishes to do, then I wish her the best of luck, and will miss her character dearly. Same thing for the Dragon Trainer.
