I lifted my head from the fish, and saw Terra dive into the water. I took flight, and flew over the water. It was as clear as ever, and I could see Terra clearly.

The water soon grew darker...... And then, in my other form, silver tail, silvery blonde hair, deep, deep lavender colored eyes and all, (with my black tanktop still on too) when the water cleared again I dove up. "Bye! I'm off to see the squid! And maybe the merpeople I heard about!" I called to Karli, who I saw was above the lake, then dove again with the help of my tail, to the deeps were the water wasn't very clear.

I stopped when Terra disappeared. Something big hit me. I turned and saw a Eagle Owl. It started to attack me. It went right for my necklace. He ripped the medallion right off the chain, and it fell into the water. I remembered Dumbledores words.
"Dont get it wet"
I flew down after it. I saw a purple light, and there was a giant thump, that caused some waves to appear. My bones felt lighter. I flew over to shore, the Eagle Owl had flown away. I tryied to transform but I couldnt...I was stuck...

When I was just about to go into the mervillage, I saw a bright purple light above, and...
Oh no! I better go see what it is! I thought as I started to swim up...
I quickly transformed again, then saw Karli's necklace floating in the water... Grabbing it, I lept out of the water. "Karli! Were are you?!" I called as I stood up, putting on my robes.

I flew quickly over to Terra, I landed on her shoulder, and started to shreik again.

"What... Oh..." I stared to get a idea in my head. "Are you... Stuck?" Knowing how to transform into something else myself, I guess that's why I sensed something. So I guessed. But I didn't know why she was possibly stuck... "Flap your wings if I'm right."

I flapped my wings.
"Who knows how to communicate with animals or something?" I thought. "Johann!"
I flapped my wings harder.

"Okay, okay, let's go." I said, running towards the castle, picking up my bag which I had dropped in the process of the.. Trance.

Cassidy went back to the dormitory to work on her bo staff. She changed into a pair of overalls and a scrubby tee shirt, and hefted the heay chunk of maple onto her shoulder. Down the hallway she went, carrying the log easily. She was searching for a place...somwhere where she could be by herself and work on her bo.

Suddenly, she found a door that she could have sworn was not there yesterday. Curious, she pushed the door open with her free hand, and inside was a woodworking room! Cassidy narrowed her eyes in confusion, wondering how on Earth something like that could end up at Hogwarts, but decided to go in and work on her bo anyway.

She planed the wood first, stripping it of its bark. Next, she whittled it down to a slim, six-foot rod, and spent the next few hours shaping it carefully, pouring every ounce of concentration into making it perfect. When that task was completed, without help from her wand, she brought it to a tub of laquer, and spent the rest of the afternoon painting it.

She worked well into the night, but took little notice of the time that passed. When she had put two coats of balck laquer on the staff, she set it to dry.

Cassidy gazed at her handiwork sleepily, her admiration shining through her drooping eyelids. It was there in the mysterious woos shop that she fell asleep.

***

Cassidy awoke in the middle of the night with a start, nightmares had plagued her dreams once more. She looked up from the woodworking table to see her bo, completely dry and ready for combat. She smiled, feeling a little more awake, and took the bo from its hanger. She hefted it in her hands expertly, surveying the craftsmanship with a critical eye.

It was perfect.

She longed to practice, to swing the bo around at invisible enemies, to feel the rush of combat.

And suddenly, the room began to change.

The walls ebbed in strange waves as they transformed into bamboo instead of pine. A window to her right looked out onto a shinto rock garden, and adorning the walls of the woodshop-turned-dojo were carious scrolls of kanji.

Cassidy looked around her in awe, testing the hardwood floor with her now bare feet. She stepped into the middle of the room, and began to practice. She swung her bo staff in graceful arches, sharp stabs, strong parries. Each movement was more confident than the last. She smiled to herself, and glanced at her watch. It was nearly dawn once more. She got her things together and headed to the owlry.

"Kaze!" she hissed quietly, so as not to disturb the other owls who had just returned from their nightly flights.

Kaze spun his head backwards to look at her, slightly annoyed, as he was about to go to sleep.

"Kaze, I need you to take something to the wand shop in Diagon Alley, and get it back to me as soon as you can!" she told him urgently. She tied her wand to the bo staff, and held it up for him to grab. "I've enclosed a note. Bring this back as soon as you can."

Kaze flew off with the long, heavy package. Cassidy watched him leave quetly, a smile spreading across her face. Suddenly, she remembered her brother's arrival was today, and a disgusted frown replaced her cheery mood. She went back to Gryffindor tower to wash up before breakfast once more.

OOC: Enter, Andrew!!!

Name: Andrew
Age: 12 (2nd year)
Gender: Male
Description: very fair like Cassidy. He stands two heads taller than she does, and is built muscular, but not like a body builder! He has deep, darker blue eyes than Cassidy does, and his hair is cut short in a spiky buzz. He has a very sharp, angular face, that mkes him look older than he is.
Personality: Andrew is a lot more outgoing than Cassidy. He tends to enjoy getting into trouble, and doesn't mind getting one anyone's bad side. He is very competative with Cassidy, and is jealous of her calm, reserved attitude, because she is recognized by her father for that a lot, and he is punished for his rash attitude. He plans to make her life diffecult at Hogwarts.
Pet: a barn owl named Screech
House: Slytherin

(Don't misjudge him too much...because...well...you'll find out!)

IC: Andrew walked confidently through the doors of Hogwarts, and Screech, his owl, flew to the owlry to chat with Kaze. Andrew put on a smirk. He couldn't wait to see hsi sister, and bother the heck out of her.

He saw the Great Hall up ahead, and decided to get some breakfast. He sat down at the Slytherin table, with a group of well-to-do looking chaps. Andrew ran his fingers through his hair, glancing at the door, as a very tired-looking Cassidy walked through to doors. She sat down at the Gryffindor table, and did not awknowlege him.

I flew into the castle the next morning. Sunday. I had one more day to return to normal. I flew into the Great Hall. The Slytherin Table. Food was placed neatly infront of everyone there. I saw a new boy...he looked like Cassidy. I squinted my hawk like eyes. I flew at full speed down the Slytherin table, knocking all the goblets down> I reached out for the new boys toast with my claws, and flew away with it, swooping around the ceiling.
"What in the world!?" I heard a boy say.
I felt proud of myself, those Slytherins deserved it....

I sighed and went to my lessons....

The next day, at brekfast, I spotted a new boy at the Slytherin table. He had a resemblance to Cassidy...
Shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts, I sat down at the Gryffindor table.

Next stop, the Gryffindor Table. I spotted Terra, and flew over to her landing on the table, knocking over her goblet. Other kids watched me.
"Terra? Is that yours?" asked a brown haired boy, as he pointed to me.

OOC: Sorry for the long post last time, guys! Whew!

IC: Andrew watched the falcon fly away with his toast, shrugging it off, and dabbing at his spilt orange juice with a napkin. The other Slytherin boys cursed the falcon under their breath.

"What was that?" he asked them.

"Got a name there?" snapped one of them viciously.

"Yeah," Andrew said, raising an eyebrow at them. He grinned. "Andrew. My friends call me Andy."

"Heh..." a boy with greasy hair smirked. "He seems alright."

The boy leaned across the table at him.

"That falcon," he said, quietly, but gravely, "is an Animagus. She's been giving us some trouble, so watch out for her, and on't be afraid to give her a hex or two."

He sat back down and laughed heavily, his round beady eyes shinning darkly. Andrew snickered.

Cassidy saw Karli fly through the Slytherins, knocking goblets and food right and left. She felt her heart sink, not only thinking of her brother, but of the unprokoked action Karli had taken. Cassidy pushed her scrambled eggs around with her fork absently, feeling gloomy despite the good weather outside. She hoped Karli or Terra or someone would come in. It would certainly lift her spirits.

The golden chained dangled around my neck. I picked it up with my beak, and chewe on it a little.

"Well, no, she's not..." I said to the boy, then loked at Karli, then, saw Cassidy.
"Hey Cassidy!" I called to her. "Come over here!"

I flew over to Cassidy, and landed on her shoulder.I lifted my right wing and start to clean it.

Cassidy saw Terrn and Karli, in her bird form, at the other end of the table. Terra called to her, and she came right over, taking a seat across from her.

"Hi guys," she greeted them, her voice melancholy. She cast a furtive glance over at the Slytherin table, grimacing as if she had been burned. "My brother's here."

***

Andrew glanced at Cassidy as she glanced at him. He smiled, waving at her along with the people she was sitting with, and turned back around to speak with his friends.

"Look, [/I]Andy," one of them snapped, annoyance tugging at his features. "I don't think you really belong here in Slytherin. We do NOT talk to or even remotely communicate with any of the other houses unless we are forced to."

He had a strange glint in his eye. The greasy haired boy whipped out his wand, and cast a curse across the room at Cassidy. Without her wand, she could nto defend herself. The spell took the bench out from under her, tossing the Gryffindors unfortunate enough to be on her side. She got up from the floor, calm and complacant, she did not react. She only helped her fellow Gryffindor set the bench back up.

Andrew felt a little guilty, but it was all in good fun. Besides, it probably served her right. She had probably beaten up a Slytherin or two in the time she had been here.

***

Cassidy helped the others replace the fallen bench. A few of them casted nasty glances at the Slytherins, but she paid them no heed. She kept her reserved, calm expression and temperament, but inside, her heart ached. Andrew had done nothing to prevent their spell casting. He had more magical ability than she. Why hadn't he done something?

Suddenly, she was distracted by Kaze's magnificant white form flying through the air quickly. He dropped a small package into her waiting hands, took a bite of her ham, and flew off once more.

Cassidy ripped open the package excitedly. Beyond the brown wrapping paper was a small wand box, and around the box was a note. She read it over quickly, and opened the box. Inside was her wand.

"Check this out you guys!" she exclaimed happily, standing up from the table to give it enough space. Her face beaming, she gave the incantation: "Bo Ferula!"

The wand quivered and began to change quickly. When the transformation was complete, the black laquered maple bo staff Cassidy had crafted rested in her hands. On the upper end of the bo, imbedded very craftily in it, was her wand.

"It's so wicked!" she exclaimed, hefting the rod in her hands. "The wand shop At Diagon Alley did it for me! I didn't expect it so fast! Now, if I get in a bad scrape, I can fight and use magic at the same time!"

With a quick incantation, the wand returned to normal.

"Isn't this great?" she said gleefully, sitting back down and finishing her breakfast. For the time being, she forgot about Andrew.

I glared at the boy, then returned my gaze to Cassidy's wand/staff.
"That's awesome, Cass!" I exclaimed, then watched as it turned back.
"So, what's new? I havn't seen you for a while."

I didnt hear Cassidy, I was staring at the Slytherin table. Eventually I took flight. I flew over to the boy that knocked the bench down and started nipping at him, and clawing him with my claws. Andrew was next. I did the same thing, only when I was finished, I perched myself upon the table, and started at him angrily.

"Ah...well, actually...a lot. We've got to catch up...but...not here. What I have to tell you can't leave the three of us," Cassidy cast a glance at Karli. "Let's go to Gryffindor Tower. It'll be safer to talk there, especially since it's Sunday, and nice out. Everyone will be outside!"

Suddenly, she heard the commotion Karli had caused at the Slytherin table. Her temper rose slightly, and fists clenched, she approached the table.

To everyone's suprise, she turned her attention to Karli. She gestured for her to land on her arm, and took her a few steps away from the table, far enough so they couldn't hear.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked angrily. "A reaction is what they want. They want to get us in trouble, and they want us to stoop to their level. You're letting them control you. You're letting them win, and making everything worse between our houses. Just leave them alone. Don't stoop to their level. That isn't what Gryffindors do."

With that, she let karli into the air, and resumed her seat with the other Gryffindors.
