"Mm?" I awoke, in the Hospital Wing.
Not again... I groaned in my mind.
Madame Pomfrey bustled up to me.
"Now look at you!" She scolded.
"Saying you'll take it easy, and the next thing you know, you fall off broom with the snitch! Goodness...." The nurse scolded.
"Were... Were are the rest of my team?"
"Oh, some of them visited you while you were sleeping-"
"What happened? Were's my broom?"
"Well... Gryffindors say a man hexed you, or something like that... You sprained your right ankle, and also, Miss. Lanes, you recieved a fiew cuts on your arm. Your broom is in your dorm."
"Can't I go now? I mean, you healed my ankle, right?" I gestured to my ankle.
"Yes, but..."
"And I don't see any scratches, right?"
"Welll, it may be so.... But-"
"Please?"
Madame Pomfrey rolled her eyes, then laughed.
"Quite the determined patient you are. Well off you go then!"
I scurried out of the room, to the Quidditch feild... I had seen Josh there, so maybe I could talk with him....
---
I arrived just in time, to see Josh finishing a sentence, talking to a Slytherin with his wand pointed straight at him.
I wonder what he's doing...
Okay, it looks like they're mad at each other.... I concluded worriedly.
I stood for a minute, in the shadows, un-noticed by the two.

Andrew watched Johann flip over Karli and prepare to attack the Slytherins. He did not, however, much to Andrew's relief. When Johann had gone, Andrew walked up to the snickering Slytherins calmly.

"What right do you have to laugh?" Andrew demanded. "I'd love to see you do what he just did, even half as well."

"Well, well....does that sound like a challenge to you buys?" the Malfoy sneered. He looked at Andrew. "Are you challenging me?"

"You aren't worth my time," Andrew replied, making a disgusted face.

"Oh, so now he's too good for us!" the Malfoy jeered. He stepped up to Andrew. "I have the right mind to just sock you right here!"

"I'd love to see you try," Andrew laughed.

Infuriated, the blond-haired boy swung at him, widely. Andrew ducked, and the shot missed him completely. Only angered further, the Malfoy went for his stomach next, which Andrew pushed away easily.

After a few more strikes, which were easily blocked by Andrew, Malfoy charged at him andgrily, swinging his fists all over the place. Andrew deflected his nearest fist, grabbed it by the wrist, and flipped him over his knee. Malfoy fell to the ground with a thud, and his cronies looked on nervously.

"Are you done now?" Andrew asked mockingly, and walked back over to Berii. "Want to head back to the common room? It looks like everyone else is headed that way..."

Cassidy looked on worriedly as Terra was carried off to the hospital wing. She followed, but was shut out of the wing so Terra could rest.

Back in the common room, she relished in the team's victory. Somone had ordered a keg of butterbeer, which went over really well with the rest of the house. Cassidy stayed by her friends' side all the while, feeling wonderful.

Okay, should I watch? I will, but if it get's ugly, I'l step in...
I thought, scared for Josh, and watching the whole scene nervously.

It was getting dark, and I was getting nervous that it was going to get to dark to see in the forbidden forest soon. So I got up and led both of us into the Forbidden forest. I found the clearing where I was playing my violin, I made a nest big enough for the both of us. It's not the best, but it'll have to do. I said looking at Karli. After she had laid down to go to sleep, I snuggled up close to the pile of feathers, because the night was getting cold, and quick. I finally fell asleep to the breathing and the up and down motion of her chest.

Cassidy had just walked down to the Great Hall, when her side began to sear with pain once again. It had not been bothering her for the last couple of days, but now, it was worse than ever.

So you let yourself feel again... the voice sneered at her. [/I]You realize that you are letting me in now...I can give you great, powerful anger...feel it. Use it. Defeat your friends and bring Karli to me!

Get out of my head, Cassidy told him firmly, continuing to walk. I can control my anger without forsaking my happiness.

We'll see about that... the voice told her maliciously. Her side ached horribly. She doubled over, and leaned against the wall in the hallway. A few students passed, looking confused at her. What if I were to take something from you? Something very precious...something you have worked so hard for. I think I'll pay Andrew a visit...and maybe soon after your father!

"No!" Cassidy screamed aloud, her side feeling as if it had been cut open anew. She sank to the ground, clutching her side, as fresh, red blood began to seep through her shirt. "Andrew! Dad!"

She collapsed on the floor, sprawled out like she had just been struck from behind.

While I was sleeping I was struck with visions of Cassidy and Andrew betraying Karli and me. Cassidy had brought them both before Karli's father and he was about to slay me. Then I woke up with a startle, and then drifted back into a restless sleep.

Cassidy dragged herself up off the floor, clutching her side. Blood covered her hands and clothes now, and she knew she'd be in trouble if she didn't get help soon.

Just as she had pulled herself to her feet, some Slytherins came down the hallway. One of them had sleek, blond hair, and Cassidy recognized Randy with the group. They saw her, and walked over, malevolent grins on their faces.

"What'sa matter, little girl?" the blond haired boy jeered, towering over her doubled over body. "Got a little cut there?"

He jabbed her wounded side with his wand, hoping to make her shriek in pain. Cassidy bit her tongue hard, and made no noise. He came after her again, and she stepped weakly aside, feeling outrage as the tension between them built.

Use your anger... the voice eched evily in her mind.

NO... Cassidy insisted. I am stronger than this...I am stronger than you!

The boy strick her again, rapping her hard on her side. She fell to the floor, her fair hair matted on her head with sweat and blood.

"Where are all your friends?" he teased, kicking her. "No good without them, are you?"

Just then, Tim happened to be walking down the hallway. He shooed the Slytherins away with his wand, and ran to Cassidy's side. Sprawled out on the floor, nearly unconcious, she could only look at him with glassy eyes.

"Did they do this to you?!" he half-bellowed, glancing over his shoulder at the Slytherins going down the hallway. "How dare they!"

He scopped her small frame up in his arms, and carried her to the hospital wing. Madam Pomphrey was shocked to see Cassidy, all a blood-stained mess. They lay her on a soft bed, and wrapped up her wound until a potion could be made to heal it. Cassidy had a glass of cold water, feeling it slide down her throat. She leaned back against the pillow miserably. Tim stood at her side.

"You'll be all right, Cass," he assured her. "Those Slytherins won't bother you anymore. I'll make sure of that."

He helped Madam Pomphrey wash the blood off her hands, arms, and face. Cassidy just lay there, feeling weak.

"Out now!" she shooed Tim. "Go fetch Professor Snape!"

"Snape?!" Cassidy choked out, her eyes widening.

Tim was already out the door, heading down to the dungeon.

"Yes, dear," Madam Pomphrey replied, changing her now red bandages. "I'm afraid we've got to discuss something with you. Dumbledore should be here too."

She sent an owl to fetch him, and returned to Cassidy's bedside with another glass of water. Her face was drawn tight with concern. Cassidy did not understand.

In a few moments, Snape and Dumbledore entered the hospital wing, locking the doors behind them. They circled around Cassidy's bed, their faces long and full of deep worry. Even Snape looked concerned.

"What's going on?" she demanded, feelin uneasy at once. Her side pulsed as blood soaked the bandages. Madam Pomphrey went to fetch more.

"You could die tonight," Snape said shortly, his cauldron already out. His potion book was open, much to Cassidy's suprise. He usually knew all his potions by heart. She felt sick to her stomach.

"We took a great risk with you, the night you fell into the lake. You were dead when they brought you to the hospital wing, and there was only one way we could revive you," Dumbledore cut in, trying to comfort Cassidy. He laid a hand on her trembling shoulder. "Professor Snape made a potion to restore your spirit to your body, using ingredients that I will not utter here. We were worried, because we know everything about Karli and Johann, about the prophesies. Since you had that gash in your side from the chymeara, you were infected with Karli's father's spirit. He had put some of his blood on the teeth of the chymeara, and when it scratched you, you were infected. He was waiting for you to die. He planted the monster in the lake, and when you fell in, he was ready to take over your body.

"He never got into it completely, however, because we revived you. Unfortunately, the potion we used has some...some dark magic...involved, magic that cannot be used under any other circumstances, but we had to save you. We had to bring you back to life, or else Karli's father would have a body to do his bidding, a strong, powerful body, because of your strong spirit. He would be able to feed off it, abandoning the body he inhabits now. Needless to say, we were relieved to see you wake.

"Now, though, his power over you is growing. He is opening up the slice in your side to infect you with more of him, hoping to overpower your will. Unfortunately," Dumbledore looked at her sadly. "There is nothing to be done about that. Your will will have to overcome his."

Cassidy felt her mind swimming, burning, with information. She looked down at her side, which had finally stopped bleeding, and looked over at Snape. He was scowling over his cauldron, mixing ingredients rapidly.

"Professor Snape is making a potion to seal your wound," DUmbledore told her. "We can at least stop Karli's father from entering any more of himself into you. I have also scheduled extra defense against the dark arts lessons for you. You will go to them after Astronomy."

Cassidy nodded. The potion bubled, and green smoke rose from the cauldron.

"It's ready," Snape announced, dipping a clean rag into the potion. "Remove her bandages."

Madam Pomphrey peeled the blood-soaked cloth off Cassidy's body. She let out a scream as the cloth was torn from her gash, causig it to bleed once more.

"Lie still!" Snape ordered. He pressed the green rag to her wound, covering it completely.

A hot, searing pain soared through Cassidy's body, causing her to bite her tongue to avoid another scream. Tears streamed down her face, which was now a bright pink. Snape pulled the rag off her body, leaving a flawless, scarless patch of skin in its wake.

Cassidy relaxed her muscles, her head falling back on the pillow as she gasped for air. She looked over at Dumbledore and Snape.

"Am I still going to die?" she asked weakly, and feeling more afraid than ever.

"He will try to kill your spirit, and he is very strong within you now. Fight hi off as best you can, and do not think anything he says is the truth. He will try to take your brother, but I know that you can stop him," Dumbledore told her gently, his hand on her shoulder. "You'll be alright to leave in a few minutes. Be brave, as brave as you have ever been. You can defeat him."

With that, Snape and Dumbledore left. Cassidy closed her eyes to rest.

OOC: Agreed!! And it was a long post!! *pants* I'm still tired from making it!! O_o

OOC: That was awesome! You're a very very good novelist. You should consider being an author for Forgotten Realms...

IC: The next morning, I found Karli had returned to her normal self. I picked her up, still half asleep. I slung her over my shoulder and snuck her up to the Gryffinder tower. I snuck quieetly into the girls dorm, determine to tuck her safely into bed. I got her into bed and tucked her in. I gently kissed her on the forehead. I laid out some clothes for her beside her bed, since suddenly transforming into the hippogriff had stripped her of her clothes. I then snuck down into the Great Hall for a good long Breakfast.

I was the only down there when I got there, not even the food was out yet. I sat down on the Ravenclaw bench when I heard, "JOHANN!" I turned around to see Snape striding toward me.

OOC: Was your ooc directed at me, Raichu Master? If so...thankies!!! ^^ Also...what is Forgotten Realms?? *feels dumb*

Off topic: I had one of my first character deaths! O_o....it's....strange....but anyway, it's really quite sad, but if you want to read it, I believe it is post 212 on the Last Dragon Riders Pokemon RP!

OOC: Yes the compliment was toward you, Skye. Obviously you don't read Science Fiction novels. Forgotten Realms is a science fiction publisher, and publish middle-evil type material.

Actually Scarlet, it's about 3:30 in the rp. And it was bedtime in the rp anyway, so I figued I'd stop and wait for everyone to catch up after the next morning came...but I can delete that post and repost when Batesy catches up....I suppose...

OOC: A ha...I see. I did read science fiction a few years back....and then AP EOkay....time to stop being off topic!!nglish came along and changed my reading drastically. I still do enjoy a few Sci-fi novels once in a while...just never heard of Forgotten Realms...it sounds interesting...I will have to check it out!

OCC: Yes, Skye that was great! ^_^

We really cant have things going to fast or to slow at the moment. I have recieved some PM's saying that some people want to join the term, and we were at the end of the year like last page. I think this RP is going at a way different rate then the last one.

IC: I woke up the next morning in my bed. I was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Something dripped on my covers. It was blood. I put my hand to a cut above my eye. I then noticed my hand was bleeding to, and my side as well.
I quickly changed into my robes, and ran outside. I there transformed, and ran towards the lake. I took off right away. I flew across the lake, and to the hole that I was in the previous night. Nothing was there.
"No, he is gone...." I thought.
I saw something shiny. I walked up to it. It was the same blood stained sword my father had used last night, and beside it was my flute. I carfully picked it up with my beak, and flew out of the hole. Half way across the lake, I stopped flying. On the shore was another Hippogriff. It seemed to be having trouble catching a fish. Once that I saw he had got it, I continued to move on. Finally back at Hogwarts, I watched as students passed. I set the flute in front of me.

OOC: Thanks, Legendary Pokegirl! ^^

End of the year?? I was under the impression that we were on winter holiday? Perhaps I am wrong....

Anyway, I'll wait to post Andy's stuff until Marina99 gets online...

IC: Cassidy woke up, rubbing her eyes gingerly. She was in the hospital wing, now fully recovered from the last few hours of pain. She swung her legs over the side of her bed, and walked back to Gryffindor Tower. It was now late afternoon, only about six hours since their victory on the Quiddich field. Cassidy was overjoyed at their win.

She padded in her bare feet up to her bed, where she gathered her defense against the dark arts materials. She could hear hushed whispering in her mind, the soft, snake-like words she couldn't quite catch. She pushed them aside, knowing full well that he could see through her eyes, hear her every thought. She slung her bag over her shoulder, threw on a pair of shoes, and went to find Dumbledore to recieve her lesson.

The hallways were unusually quiet. She could still hear the whispering, and could catch a few of the words...they were dark, evil things, stuff she had only read about, but never experienced. She felt him creeping along her mind, looking for somewhere vulnerable to strike.

I will not give you the benefit of the doubt! she told him defiantly, her mental block becoming stronger as she said it.

His laughter echoed softly, and Cassidy grimaced. She had reached Dumbledore's office, and gave a swift knock on the door.

OCC: Oops! Sorry if you misunderstood! ^_^; I meant that at around these number of pages, we were at the end of the year in the last thread! XD Sorry!

IC: I had just started to relax, when I saw a group of Slyterins coming my way.
"Hope they know their manners" I thought as they finally reached me.
"A Malfoy..."
As I expected the Slytherins didnt bow before the came near me. I saw the boy that I shashed last night. He wore a bandage, but he didnt keep his distance.
"Pathectic animal..." the Malfoy began. "Probaly has a brain the size of a peanut"
I snapped my beak shut with this, as the Slytherins all started to laugh. I reared, my claws barly missing Malfoys face. I then chased them away.
"Not so funny no is it?"

I turned around to see Snape yelling my name and running toward me. What's he doing? I thought and then I called out, "What is it Professor?"

Snape explained the whole situation with Cassidy. "So Cassidy is my enemy?" I concluded.

"Not exactly, Bache. I'm just warning to you to keep an eye on her, if she does anything that might suggest that Karli's father is taking over, tell a teacher immediatly. Do not take care of it yourself, you're worth more to us alive." Snape warned.

I nodded and then walked out has he walked out the opposite way. I saw Karli fighting with a few Slytherins. I walked up to her after she was done chasing them away, I bowed and when she bowed I said sarcastically, Still can't quit picking on those poor slytherin boys?

I then started to walk away, I turned and said, Let's go get some breakfast, I'm hungary. And I'm sure you are. So what do you say? Are you going to get breakfast with me? I asked smiling.
