Misty,May or Dawn?

I like Dawn the best! She seems really cool, and I think she's much better than May.. may is just kind of annoying and whiny.

I have written in one of these before and said Misty because i always liked her but i have grown to like dawn and now it is very hard t pick a favorite but i have to pick DAWN i haave no idea why but ive gron to like her more and more and now she is like just ahead of misty write now it is
45% for Dawn
40% for Misty
15% for May (dont know why just don't like her)
 
I chose misty because she was a really funny,agressive and er.... funny character!
I still love it when she pulls brocks ear when he is near nurse joy and officer jenny!
(to bad her bike got fixed and she was going on a world tour for her sisters!)
 
If we are going to bring this up every so often, can't we just sticky it?

What does that have to do with how much you like a character?

Anyways, May. I'll keep it brief and say that I like female characters that have active roles apart from being a sidekick to the main character. I like Dawn too for the same reason, although

I used to love Misty a lot, but after a few DP episodes Dawn has become my favourite. XD She's so adorable! May is an ok character, but not exactly my favourite.
 
I am surprised that threads like this are still popping up but I am going to join what seems to be a good sized group and say Misty. She always has been and always will be my favorite girl in Pokemon. Not only that, I am one of those who found her departure to be upsetting but looking at what Brock has become (which is really sad considering that he and Ash are the only two of the original three left) it was kind of a blessing in disguise but I really wish we got to see her more often I would say for three episodes AT LEAST per story arc.

And am I the only one thats irked that Dawn won a ribbon by defeating May? I mean c'mon ...

Unfortunately, I cannot go into the exact details of why specifically that irked me without the use of spoiler tags, so I forgive you for ignoring me.
 
I like all three just fine, but over all, May would be my favorite. Having said that, Dawn is quickly growing on me simply for being so adorable.

As for the reason, it's because I see May (and now Dawn) getting a lot more development than Misty did. May went from a noob to someone who is quite capable in either battling or thinking outside the box to have attacks produce unique effects in contests. Misty's relationship with her sisters wasn't touched on nearly as much as May's with her family (specifically her little brother). I also like May's reason for traveling more than Misty's.

But again, I like all three.

But it's not that simple.

You see, I'm a Misty fan, but as much as I am one, I'm not one of those bitter fangirls/boys out there who refuse to have anything to do with the current day anime just because one character left. I used to be like that once but I realized how that got me nowhere.

Hikari, I like her almost as much as I like Misty. There's something about her, maybe it's her prettiness or how normal her hair looks or how fun she seems. If I were to be friends with any of the three girls, it'd definitely be Hikari.

May, I dont really like her, in fact at times I hate her. Her fanbase annoys me, especially with those stubborn Advanceshippers who refuse to admit Advanceshipping is dead (even though it was never there to begin with) and cant even type their posts right. But a part of the reason that I dont like her like I did when she first appeared in the anime is partly due to being able to relate to her or perhaps some sort of reflection. I kind of felt like she was my link to the Pokemon world in Ruby so seeing her in the anime was kind of like seeing myself in a way. It's kind of how people dont want Link from the Legend of Zelda to speak in the game because that'll ruin the feeling. So I guess when she became different from me (around the time she started competing in contests), the link faded and I didn't like her as much. Either that or I was bugged earlier by the way her dub voice sounded.
 
I wouldn't say Advanceshipping is dead. As long as there are people out there who enjoy it, then it lives, and one could make arguments that Ash and May would potentially end up together (as they could for Misty or Dawn). One could say that it is declining in popularity, because from what I have observed, that does seem to be the case. But that's about it.

As for how well they type, well...I've seen some who can type perfectly fine, but I've also seen those who don't really advance their 'cause' by making faulty arguments that are nearly illegible. But I would argue nearly every shipping or fanbase has a few of that lot.

Regarding Dawn...as I said previously, she is quickly growing on me. I think it is because, as you said, she seems like a lot of fun. I don't know if its true or not, but it does seem like Ash/Dawn (Pearlshipping, is it?) is growing a lot more quickly than Advanceshipping did.

This is kind of unrelated, but I think one thing that hindered Misty a bit was Togepi (that and Psyduck getting old, and fast). She always had to carry it around in her arms, and I don't think it did anything to add to her character either. A small point, but one I wanted to bring up.
 
May! Defenetly!
She introduced Pokemon contests, that means I don't have to wait 15 episodes untill Ash gets a badge. Instead I can watch contests, which is alot better then fillers.
And she has the best looks, but thats just me ^.^
 
I never really liked any of them, I hate Dawn. I think May, everyone hated her as they loved Misty. But she got her own personality and has become a great trainer, perhaps better than Ash. With Venasaur, Wartortle, Blaziken, should enter some Gym Battles.
