I didn't actually think this would go through like it did. I thought Admin would all speak to eachother about this, devise the real plan using what information we give them, along with their own thoughts, then present it to PC.

But reality says that you have to present the entire plan with everything figured out, and they say either 3 loved letters or 2 hated letters of their choice. No no no... everyone else does the planning as admins are too busy doing math homework.

Stick with self nomination for the beginning process... reasons because of everything that JKaizer said. Only Arcanine and Kairi will actually know more than one possible choice you know. XD

Eh, but if you're one of the members that isn't well known to the staff (we don't know everyone... well, except Abby) then you don't get a chance.

My way should work fairly well. I say no restrictions (if a n00b wants to enter themselves, that's their prerogative - no one will vote for them anyway) and then the number of votes people have in each round is a varible subject to change based on the amount of applicants we end up with.

edit: Oh yeah, the bigger PM box would be a great one. ^_^; They may need it since I suspect a lot of n00bs in the future will be PMing them with all sorts of random questions. XD

Lets just pretend, you made a list in that mod place you guys have, where all the nominations go...

Then let anyperson make there nomination there...

Bring out a list for PC to vote on...

And let us vote.

Why not try this?
1. You nominate yourself or another member, but you have to have the members consent first.
2.Someone presents the nominations list and it gets narrowed down to 20.
3.The list gets narrowed down to 10
4. 3 members are left. One takes VP one takes president and one just loses.
5. The two winners get a bigger PM box and bold username?

Seeing as the people reading this are interested, how does this look for an announcement? Feel free to correct me on anything.

Welcome to the PokeCommunity Presidential Elections!

This year, in order to honor the presidential elections, PC is gonna hold it's own elections, and you have a chance (providing you qualify) to win the title of PokeCommunity President!

The President will have a bigger PM box, a colored name (Your choice) and a title, like the Moderator under Mod's titles. And of course, the ultimate part, you can brag to the other members that you got voted into office. And no, you don't get to be a mod... but hey, you get the title. And we all know that's the best part of being a mod.

Now, after reading what you can get, I bet you're wondering how you can get it, ne? Well, you have to either PM to JKaizer or Lightning saying that you want to join in the fun and take a shot at running.

There are a few rules for running, however, so please do read them.
Rules:
- A member of PC for over 1 month

And that's it. Not too hard to follow, right?


How it'll work
Once <<number>> applications have been recieved via PM (this is a first come, first serve basis), a thread will be posted in Announcements/Other Chat and members will reply with their top <<number>> choices from the list. The top <<number>> of canidates from the "Primaries" will then be announced, and campaigning can begin.

Members will have until election day to campaign, and on that date a poll will be posted and each member will be able to vote for their top choice for PC President. The winner of that poll will be declared the PC President and will be awarded their prizes.


Any questions about this can be posted in here or PMed to either JKaizer or Lightning, the two people heading this.

how about we have the president deal with all "behavior matters?" That'll also answer the demand for "demi-mod powers." We forward all "report post" PMs to the president instead of us. XD Joy for everyone then! We can finally rid ourseleves of those ridiculous report post PM trash, and the president can enjoy reading those annoying stuff that staffs have to read. =)

As for blue's idea, if say everyone loves MemberA and everyone nominates MemberA, yet MemberA doesn't want to be one. But then there comes all these PMs asking for consent... Step 1 needs to be reworked and possibly the last step too as we still don't know about the prizes yet.
