PC was shallow since i joined back in Dec
and IMO thats what makes it so fun..............
Nay i lie PC's shallowness sucks alot
especially with the post count crap.


Well if u guys really want to go through with this then fine
guess it would only be annoying when i see the person post XP
not really but...
the idea is not to my liking.

Erica came up with it.
First, we accept self nominations. Whoever wants to run for PCP (let's acronym it <_<) can choose to do so. For the first round of voting, we can let people vote for multiple people (the exact number would be decided after we have the number of candidates). So let's set that at 3 votes/person for now. Hypothetically considering everyone will vote for the most popular people, that will decrease the number of potential candidates and then maybe decrease it to two votes per person and then eventually we'll end up with a handful of people to choose from and make the final vote. =\

Well my idea wasn't really like this at all... no bragging rights...
I just thought... If there are about 25 mods that get picked by S-mods/Admin(idk)
Then why can't we just have one mod elected by PC members?
 
THen people that don't want to do it don't get pulled in.


LFP: Because PC ain't a democracy. =/

But at least self nomination eliminates the possible problem of a nominated member not willing to participate in this event. As we do see that there are some members who aren't so interested about this idea.

And littlefacistpanties16, this thread probably refuted all reasons why the original idea is a no-go...

Then why not nominate other members and let them run if they want to?
 
Why not PM them and ask them to nonimate themselves?

What do you mean? If somebody doesent accept, then you don't put them on the voting list. My idea was:

1. Every Mod/S-Mod/Praetor/?????/Admin nominates 1 person(they don't have to nominate if they dont want to...)

2. They show the list to PC...if one of the nominated members doesn't want to be on the list, then they don't have to be on it...

reveiw the list, take off any newbie members(like me I guess)

3. After like a week or so, post the list and have PC vote off the list. Its not really hard.



But this is cool too.

Thats okay, were not going to force them, lol.

If we only got 20 nominations, then thats 20 good members to vote for.

If we do it this way... then we have a couple thousand possibilities XD

1. 85% you get everyone not nominating at all.

2. The list is already shown out to public. Even if you can say that you can just cross off the name of anyone who doesn't want to be on it, the damage is done.

A good plan must be flawless to begin with, not to fix up the flaws as you move along.
 
I don't think too many people will reply, and they have to PM me or Erica (I think) to apply... and there will be limits on how long they have to have been a member for (one month, there's no reason we should put n00b1 on the list when no one has had a chance to get to know him)... the number won't be unbelievably huge.

I didn't actually think this would go through like it did. I thought Admin would all speak to eachother about this, devise the real plan using what information we give them, along with their own thoughts, then present it to PC.

WHO WOULD TURN DOWN THE OPPORTUNITY TO ME A DEMI MOD WITH NO RESPONSIBILITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!
so some one being dragged in against there will is unlikely not to mention that they could just state that they have no interest in it and back out.

Self nomination would get something in the range of 100 newbies voting themselves........

IMO the S.Mods and Mods etc should each vote a person.
and then if the person accepts then put their names up for the PC public to decide..
Thats just the most logical way IMO
 
Eh, but if you're one of the members that isn't well known to the staff (we don't know everyone... well, except Abby) then you don't get a chance.

This way, if you want to, you can run.


Idea - how about a bigger PM box as a prize too?
