To me, it's mom all the way. I was born American, eat at McDonalds and celebrate on July 4th. Why not go all the way?
Okay, seriously, I was born saying mommy and taught it was o and not u. Okay, I think I got my point through.
Weirdly despite my location in the country, I dont have one bit of a New York accent, in fact I sound a little country.

Oo;
...well as far as I can remember it I've been spellin' it "mom"... o.o;

mum, my mum said it was mum so i say mum

I use them interchangeably. Here in the US, the pronunciations are so similar that no-one's going to laugh at you for it like they would if you kept spelling 'colour' like that without dropping the 'u'.

I spell it mom. I use mum very rarely. I grew up with mom, you see. ^^;;;
I might use mum more often in writing though. ^^;;

I always spelled it and said it by Mom. I always thought that mum was just used as a joke or from that really annoying bad pun from that halloween town movie.

hey! lets see how many times i can say mom and mum in 1 post! XD

mom, i dont like mum cause mom sounds better than mum will ever sound cause mom is how I always say it, not mum...6 times! woot! \^^/
