Well when I am speaking with my mother in english I said to her mom

but in german Mama and Mutti every time

Mom for me. ^_^; Canadians derive it from the Americans, I suppose...though I don't really care either way. XD I used to say mommy, and sometimes I say mother...and I know I do, I just can't remember any specific examples of it. oO;

If I was still from where I came from... maybe I'd call my mom "mum..." but I call her "mom." I'm really used to it.

I use Mum, but I usually type mother, and I mostly call her Mummy, which my brother has an issue with. D;
