Update on Ultimate Red Monocolor Challenge.

Update #1 on Platinum.

• Started with Turtwig, then caught Melody the Kricketot on Route 202 to get me through the first couple gyms.
• Got Melody to L16 before challenging Roark for Bug Bite, and she evolved into Kricketune!
• Faced off against Roark and barely won with Bug Bite because of Melody's weakness to Rock.
• Moved north from Jubilife City to Florama Town, and defeated Mars at the Valley Windworks.
• Went through Eterna Forest to Eterna City, then caught Paladin the Meditite in Mt. Coronet.
• Trained him up on trainers I skipped earlier, then took on Gardenia.
• Melody was very useful here with Bug Bite and I won easily.
• Used Cut to get in the Old Chateau and caught Vroom the Rotom.
• Took on the Eterna T.G. Building and defeated Jupiter with some difficulty.
• Got the Bike, then moved south and through Mt. Coronet to Hearthome City, then backtracked to Wayward Cave.
• Trained in the cave, then challenged Fantina in the gym.
• Vroom knew Ominous Wind now, so I won easily.
• Defeated Barry, then saved in Solaceon Town.

-Helped with the Parcel
-Caught my first Brown pokemon: a female Pidgey named "Iris".
-Entered Viridian forest.
-Caught my 2nd pokemon: female Weedle named "Delia". (Not gonna keep her for long,since Kakuna is yellow).

Hey, so I took a long hiatus from this challenge because grinding in Johto/Kanto is the worst. Here's what happened:
+Beat the Elite 4 and Champion yay!
+Went to Kanto and did all the sidequests that needed to be done.
+Did some calculations to decide which gym leaders to take on first.
+Defeated Janine no problem and got the Soul Badge.
+Beat Lt. Surge and got the Thunder Badge.
+Beat Misty and got the Cascade Badge.
+Beat Brock and got the Boulder Badge.

Currently: Doing some inbetween training before taking on the second half of Kanto and debating whether or not to use Suicune.

Update on Ultimate Red Monocolor Challenge.

Update #2 on Platinum.

• First thing I did after reaching Solaceon Town was catch Scarlet the Scyther on Route 210.
• Trained up in the Ruins and the Tower, then moved on to Veilstone City.
• Was gifted Matrix the Porygon in the city, and after a bit of training, I used the Up-Grade to evolve it into Porygon2!
• Maylene was easily soloed by Scarlet's Wing Attack.
• Went south from the city after getting the Fly HM, and fished up Inky the Remoraid on Route 213.
• Trained him up on the trainers around the city, and soon he evolved into Octillery!
• While I was doing that, Paladin evolved into Medicham!
• Made my way to Pastoria City, where I grabbed a Yanma in the Great Marsh with Compoundeyes and taught her Thief.
• Went Chansey hunting on Route 210 and nabbed myself a Lucky Egg, then grabbed a Metal Coat from a Bronzor in Wayward Cave.
• Soon afterwards, I used it to evolve Scarlet into Scizor!
• Soloed Wake with Vroom, then ran down a bomb-toting Plasma Grunt.
• Headed to Celestic Town, where I defeated Cyrus for the first time.
• Got the Surf HM, and went straight to the Fuego Ironworks, where I captured Magma the Magmar.
• Immediately used my Magmarizer, and Magma evolved into Magmortar!
• Continued training everyone up on the now assesible water trainers, then headed to Canalave City.
• Defeated Byron easily with Magma's Flamethrower and Earthquake, then cleared out Iron Island.
• More bomb plots from Team Plasma ensued, and I defeated Saturn and Mars at Lakes Valor and Verity.
• I am now saved in the snow on Route 216.

Final Update (#3) on Platinum.

• Trudged through the snow to Snowpoint City, and Magma easily beat Candice with Flamethrower.
• Visited Lake Acuity with Magma's Rock Climb, then went to Veilstone City after exploring more Rock Climb areas.
• Picked up the Dubios Disc in the Warehouse, and soon afterwards, Matrix evolved into Porygon-Z!
• Defeated Cyrus in the Team Galactic Headquarters, then beat Saturn to free the Lake Trio.
• Climbed Mt. Coronet after Cyrus, and ended up in the Distortion World, where I beat Cyrus for the final time.
• Traveled to Sunyshore City, where Magma took down Volkner with Earthquake and Flamethrower.
• Got the Waterfall HM for Inky, and we made our way to and through Voctory Road to the Pokemon League.
• Defeated Barry for the final time, then did some EV training and grinding before using my Rare Candies to get everyone to L57.
• After a bit of moveset finalizing, it was time to take on the Elite Four.
• Aaron was easily soloed by Magma's Flamethrower.
• Bertha was taken down by Matrix and Paladin.
• Paladin, Inky, and Matrix worked together to take out Flint.
• Lucian was basically soloed by Scarlet.

• After getting my starter, I gave myself an egg, and out hatched Craystar the Corphish!
• Used Crayfish in the early game, and eventually barely defeated Cheren with him.
• Caught Pendra the Venipede on Route 20, and after training up in Virbank Complex, Pendra Rollout'd to victory against Roxie.
• Directly after the battle, Pendra evolved into Whirlipede!
• Made a movie in PokeStar Studios , then headed to Castelia City.
• Went to Route 4, where I caught Smasher the Darumaka.
• Smasher was very effective against Burgh, and I won easily.
• Moved on to defeat Colress on Route 4, then I caught Warmonger the Braviary on a Thursday.
• Went to Desert Resort and nabbed Gansta the Sandile, then trained my team up to face Elesa.
• While I did that, Gangsta evolved into Krokorok!
• Gangsta did well against Elesa, and I got my fourth badge.
• Soon afterwards, Craystar evolved into Crawdaunt, and Pendra evolved into Scolipede!
• Arrived in Driftveil City, and after some more training, I defeated Clay.
• Won the Driftveil Tournament, then defeated Team Plama on their ship.
• Made my way through Chargestone Cave to Mistralton City, and Smasher evolved into Darmanitan!
• After exploring Route 7 and the other routes now accesible via water, I took on the gym.

Final Update (#2) on White 2.

• Picked up in Lentimas Town, then went through Reversal Mountain, where Gangsta evolved into Krookodile!
• Defeated Hugh in Undella Town, then caught Helios the Solrock on Route 13.
• Defeated the rest of the trainers around Undella Town, then made my way to Lacunosa Town.
• Encountered Zinzolin there and defeated him with Hugh's help.
• Eventually I reached Opelucid City, and after a bit more training, I was able to defeat Drayden without much trouble.
• Team Plasma froze the city, and I defeated Zinzolin once more prior to the Shadow Triad stealing the DNA Splicers.
• Followed them to Humilau City, where Gangsta was able to wipe the floor with Marlon thanks to Moxie.
• Got the Colress Machine on Route 22, then went through the Seaside Cave to the ship.
• Defeated all the Grunts and then tag-teamed with Hugh to take down Zinzolin again.
• Followed the ship to the Giant Chasm, where I beat all the Grunts again, then faced Zinzolin for the last time.
• Defeated Colress, the surprise "executive" of Team Plasma, then confronted Ghetsis.
• After defeating the Shadow Triad, I followed Ghetsis inside the cave, where I was able to foil his plans for the White Kyurem.
• Pendra finished strong against Ghetsis to defeat him, then I went to Route 23.
• Made my way to Victory Road and got through it without much trouble, defeating Hugh at the top.
• After EV training and moveset finalizing, I used Rare Candies to get everyone to L61 for the Elite Four.
• Caitlin was first, and she was soloed easily by Gangsta's Crunch and Earthquake.
• Shauntal was a but more difficult and needed a bit of a team effort.
• Grimsley was mostly taken care of by Pendra and Smasher.
• Marshall was handled by Helios and Warmonger.

Straight into my ultimate Blue challenge now. Going with FireRed, HeartGold (maybe SS), Emerald, Platinum, and Black 2.

Start of Ultimate Blue Monocolor Challenge!

Update #1 on FireRed.

• Started with Deluge the Squirtle and easily got my first badge against Brock with him.
• Directly after the battle, Deluge evolved into Wartortle!
• Moved through Mt. Moon to Cerulean City, defeated Green and Nugget Road, then helped Bill out.
• Went to Route 5, where I traded a Nidoran♂ I caught on Route 4 for Ms. Nido the Nidoran♀.
• Started training Ms. Nido up on some trainers I skipped earlier, and she evolved into Nidorina!
• Challenged Misty and Deluge won easily with Bite.
• After Ms. Nido learned Bite at L22, I used a Moon Stone to evolve her into Nidoqueen!
• Beat all the trainers on the SS Anne, including Green, then took on the gym.
• Ms. Nido easily finished off Surge thanks to her typing.
• Got through Rock Tunnel with Flash, and Deluge evolved into Blastoise!
• Went to Celadon City and defeated Erika pretty easily with both Ms. Nido and Deluge, as they were overleveled.
• Infiltrated the Rocket Hideout and defeated Giovanni easily for the Sliph Scope.
• Scaled Pokémon Tower, defeating Green in the process, and earned the Poké Flute.
• Used it to awaken Snorlax and grab the Super Rod, and fished up Frogman the Poliwhirl in Viridian City.
• Went down to Fushia City, got the Surf HM in the Safari Zone, then defeated Koga for the right to use it outside battle.
• Surfed from Pallet Town to the Route 21 grass, where I caught Medusa the Tangela.
• Caught 30 Chansey in the Safari Zone (2 hours) and came away with 2 Lucky Eggs, and gave them to Medusa and Frogman.
• Started training them up on trainers I skipped earlier in the game, and eventually went into Sliph Co.
• After Frogman learned Body Slam at L35, I used a Water Stone to evolve him into Poliwrath!
• Defeated Green with a full team effort, then was gifted Rider the Lapras.
• Currently training up Rider on the Rockets in Sliph Co.

Update on Ultimate Blue Monocolor Challenge.

Final Update (#2) on FireRed.

• Defeated the rest of the Rockets in Sliph Co., then took down Giovanni with Frogman.
• Battled the rest of the trainers on the mainland, then took on the Saffron Gym.
• Sabrina was fairly easy to solo with Rider, though Alakazam passed up a chance to beat her at the end by using Future Sight.
• Surfed to Cinnabar Island, then went to the Seafoam Islands, where I caught Blizzard the Articuno.
• Went through the Pokemon Mansion and grabbed the Secret Key, then challenged the gym.
• Blaine was barely soloed by Ms. Nido, who benefited from some Fire Blast misses.
• Defeated more water traniers I skipped earlier, then flew back to Viridian City for my last badge.
• Giovanni was a easy fight with Frogman's Surf and Brick Break, and Team Rocket was disbanded.
• Went over to Route 22, where I defeated Green on my way to Victory Road.
• Went through the mountain easily enough, and arrived at Indigo Plateau.
• Did a little EV training and leveled everyone to L56, then took on the Elite Four.
• Lorelei was soloed easily by Rider's Thunderbolt.
• Bruno was taken out by just Medusa, who used Sleep Powder/Growth/Giga Drain, coupled with her high defense to great effect.
• Agatha took a bit more to defeat, as did Lance, although neither presented much of a challenge.
• Champion Green was a bit more difficult, but he didn't give me that much trouble. Here's a video and play-by-play:
