3rd Gen Monotype Challenge - Kanto

I Will try a Poison type Challenge on LeafGreen

It might be a bit slow but because my cartridge has been playing up.


Edit: Actually I won't do the challenge because my cartridge is freezing on me.

I'd love to give it a go with electric on FR :)

Apart from Pikachu early on anyone any ideas when another electric pokemon comes up?

Story so Far...

Part 1 - Squirtle Saga

- Volte is born! (I'm quite chuffed with the name :))
[PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Challenge - Kanto

- Picked Squirtle
- B**** slapped rival in first battle, Squirtle level 6
- Headed up to Viridian
- Returned to Dr. Oak with Parcel
- Got Pokedex
- Back up to Viridian, Squirtle level 7 from battles on Route 1, and bought 5 potions
- Trained Squirtle up to level 10 on Route 22
- Once again B**** slapped rival on Route 22, one potion used and Squirtle to level 11
- Trained Squirtle on Route 22 to level 16 who then evolved to Wartortle which made me remember about my Monotype Challenge! >.< That was a waste of time... *sigh*

Part 2 - Goodbye Wartortle, Hello Pikachu.

- Hunting for Pikachu in Viridian forest, find one... then accidently KO it trying to catch it -.-
- Arghhhh did same thing as above... again...
- Third time's the charm :)

Part 3 - Into the Forest...

- Bug Catcher Rick Dominated.
- Bug Catcher Doug Dominated.
- Bug Catcher Anthony Dominated.
- Bug Catcher Charlie Dominated.
- Basic tactic of Thunder Wave to paralyze opponent, followed by Thunder Shock, Thunder Shock and more Thunder Shock. Only used one potion the entire forest and started to run out of PP for Thunder Shock so had to move onto quick attack.

Part 4 - Pewter City and Boulder Badge


- Enter Gym
- First trainer Camper Liam quite difficult and took 2 attempts. Pokemon paralyzed by static during which all I could do was constantly Quick Attack/Tail Whip all the while using potions to keep health topped up as Thunder Wave/Shock have no effect. Used winnings to buy another potion,
- Brock, just the same as above. Failed the first 5 times ( :( )but have saved just before so had to keep resetting. I was exceedingly lucky 6th time as Geodude & Onyx were paralyzed almost all of the time from Static and attacks very rarely got through. Still took a while though -.-

- Gym was painfully easy Thunder Shock 1 or 2-hit-KOed almost everything. But to paralyze Starmie first to stop it Swifting me into oblivion but once that was out the way it was all smoothe runnings.

Well I'm doing flying. there's like 2 for catch and another 2 for train up early.

just stuff that flying idea. i'm gonna change it to normal instead.

so i finaly started my challenge...progress so far:
picked bulbasaur named her poison
beat my rival with ease
been to viridian and delivered the parcel to oak
beat my rival again...poison was at lvl 12
now in viridian forrest beating the crap out of the last trainer there
poison now at lvl 14

EDIT:
so here`s my daily progress
beat the first gym
poison evolved
found a nidoran (male) on my way to mt. moon
in mt.moon found a zubat named him batty
got out of mt. moon
found an ekans before entering cerulean city
beat my rival...again
completed nugget bridge
beat all the trainers to bill`s house
saved he`s sorry butt
beat the third gym
nidoran evolved into nidorino
evolved nidorino to nidoking after learning horn attack
batty evolved
after an hour and a half ekans evolved
now currently on the s.s anne

my team:
ivysaur(poison) lvl 26
nidoking lvl 27
golbat(batty) lvl 25
arbok lvl 23

im a bit overleved that cuz i used the vs seeker a lot :D

Part 1: The Boulder Badge
I just started and
named myself Bart
named rival Gary
picked Charmander as a starter
bet rival at Oak's Lab.
Delivered Oak's Parcel
I caught Pidgey on Route 1, trained it to lv10, bet rival Gary on Route 22.

Defeated all trainers in Viridian Forest
Barely bet the trainer in Pewter Gym.
Lost to Brock 3 times.
Grinded until lv18 and Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto!
Finally defeated Brock's Onix with Sand Attack and Quick Attack!

Part 2: The Cascade Badge
bought some repels,
dominated through route 3
went back to Pewter to buy more repels
caught Clefairy in Mt. Moon
dominated through Mt. Moon
caught a bunch of Pokemon
defeated Gary
dominated route 25
Met Bill
Caught Meowth
Defeated Misty

I'll join with a flying type team. Say can I use like Charmander since he is a flying pokemon when fully evolved?

Update arrived in cerulean town, fought misty, my team was

i then went and demolished the nugget bridge met bill and headed south to vermilion city. Obtained the old rod and caught magikarp. Now am going to the ss anne.

-Mom told me I'm going to leave home :(
-Decided to train Flying-type Pokemon.
-Sneaked inside Prof. Oak's lab to steal Pokemon.
-Nothing was guarding Poke Balls
-I decided to capture some Pokemon
-Oak stopped me to give me a Pokemon :)
-I picked Charmander and named it Awesomness.
-Oak gave Nothing a Squirtle
-Nothing challenged me
-I won and Awesomness grew to lv. 6
-I headed to Viridian City
-Awesomness grew to level 7 while fighting wild Pokemon
-I decided to capture a Pidgey
-Mart didn't have Poke Balls, so I delivered a mystical box to Prof. Oak
-Awesomness grew to level 8
-After delivering the box, Oak gave me Poke Balls.

End of part one...

-Captured Pidgey, Bird Mania
-Trained Bird Mania to lv. 9
-Suddently got attaked by Nothing!
-Tossed him
-Went to Viridian Forest
-Captured Caterapie, Bug Thing
-Trained Bug Thing
-Bug Thing evolved
-Trained in Viridian Forest

-Bug Thing evolved again
-Tossed Gym Trainer on Pewter City
-Tossed Brock by spamming Sand-Attack and Confusion

Good day everyone. As you all may be aware, LadyGaga has not updated in a while, and she has given me permission to take over and start a new thread. So yay. I'm going to gather everyone's progress and make a new thread now, so if anyone has any progress in the next hour or so, hold off on it and post it in the new thread. If anyone has any progress after the next hour or so... still post it in the new thread.

In other news, I now run half of the monotype challenges? About half.
