May I send in an egg or two for that? I'm not sure when I get the chance to catch my first ice in Heartgold/Soulsilver.

Now after a quite bit of delayedness an update!

I was making my way towards Ilex Forest after being brutally beaten by Bugsy and his Bug-type Pokemon. As I was about to walk in, I was suddenly stopped by my rival. He couldn't believe I was the one who stopped Team Rocket so he challenged my skills. After the brutal beating of his Pokemon he kept saying how individual Rockets were weak. He also said something about me being weak even after I nearly flawlessly beat him in a battle two seconds ago.

I went into the Ilex Forest and ran around to battle some Pokemon. I found some guy who needed help with two Farfetch'd. I had to go off and capture them two. When I was done this guy's boss came up to me and thanked me. I got the HM Cut for helping him out. I continued grinding and grinding on the Pokemon there. While I was there I found an Oddish! I caught it and had yet another great Poison Pokemon!

Only my Zubat and Gastly leveled up by one each. I soon went back to the gym to then get another beating. I had remembered there was one trainer I hadn't battled so I went off to battle him. It was rather pathetic and I didn't gain a single level up from it. I then went off to battle Bugsy again.

I managed to put Scyther to sleep with Hypnosis this time. I then proceeded to spam Night Shade. It actually managed to wake up and U-Turn on me. It didn't do as much damage as before, so that was good. Kakuna was switched out for it. Sending out Zubat I then spammed Bite. It flinched and I managed to beat it. Keeping out Zubat to battle Scyther I once again managed to Bite it. I hadn't expected Bugsy to use a super potion though. Zubat eventually fainted and I switched to Gastly again. Guess what, it used U-Turn. I actually had a revive so I used it on Zubat. Metapod couldn't do anything to Gastly, so it was a good opportunity. Gastly leveled up after beating it so I was pretty confident about using it against Scyther. Scyther U-Turned and left Gastly at ONE HP! I finally used Night Shade to finish it off and got another level up!

Beating Bugsy he handed over the Hive Badge. I could finally teach one of my Pokemon Cut and it would actually be useful! He also gave me U-Turn, a move that I would never use at all. Celebrating my victory I was about to venture through Ilex Forest!

Still getting slightly stronger. I'm hoping it'll evolve about two updates from now. By then I'm hoping it's my strongest Pokemon again.

Definitely 3 updates from now this thing will evolve. It's definitely a good Pokemon in many situations. I hope it'll be even better in the future

I'm thinking Spinarak will evolve around the same time Zubat evolves. As I said before it will be replaced by Weedle which will eventually evolve into Beedrill. I'll enjoy these moments with Spinarak.

Oddish, freshly caught out of Ilex Forest. I taught it Cut so this will become one of the main Pokemon to actually know an HM. This one I'll be training extensively. I've had a sort of fondness for Grass-types so I'll be focusing on this one a lot.

I don't even need to say it.

I'm doing extremely well in my opinion. I've never actually used Poison-types for battling let alone doing a whole run using them. I plan on catching a Tentacool and Nidoran soon. I'm also planning on evolving several of my Pokemon so wish me luck!

Ah, just read up on the thread, and saw that you had said earlier that Ice is okay to send over an egg. What's the limit for the amount of eggs I can send over? I'm planning on sending over a Lapras egg and a Jynx egg, if that's okay. And if 3 is fair, a sneasel egg too. But if only 2 or 1 is allowed, that's cool too.

I hatched my Smoochum, and am currently training it before I face Falkner. Haven't hatched my Lapras yet, though.

If you don't mind me asking, who did you use in your final fight? I think my team around the end will be something like this...

• FINALLY BEAT RIVAL..YES..
• Released the legendary doggies.
• Fought Morty and won first try :S.
• Got Fog Badge and headed for Cianwood City.
• Defeated Chuck and got Storm Badge
• Discarded Magnemite (under leveled and was too lazy to train)
• Found Suicine at the top of Cianwood City. It fled and I fought Eusine. Yay free exp.
• Taught Pidgey Fly and went back to Olivine City.
• Gave SecretPotion to Ampharos and then headed to the Gym.
• Defeated Jasmine with ease thanks to surf from lanturn and claimed my Mineral Badge.
• Flew to Ecruteak Town. Surfed East wards and saw Suicine again whom fled again.
• Arrived at Mahogany Town and went straight to Lake of Rage.
• Caught a glimpse of Raikou who I attacked ^_^.
• Killed Gyarados.
• Some guy named Lance wants me to help him so I gladly accepted.
• Foiled Team Rockets plans and got a HM from Lance.
• Defeated Bryce with ease. Super Effective moves :). Got Glacier Badge
• Got a phone call from Prof.Elm saying something about Team Rocket and radio signals?
• Went to Golden Rod to investigate.
• Team Rocket has taken over the Radio Tower!
• Some silly grunt was handing out uniforms so I gladly took one.
• Was about to easily sneak through but my stupid rival spoiled my plans now I have to fight my way through.
• Got to the top only to find out that the Director was being impersonated.
• He gave me a key after I destroyed his pokemon.
• Went down to the underground to help the director!
• Met my rival and fought. No Synthesis this time jeeze which means.. I WON first go for once. Hooray.
• Gonna call it a night and a night well done :).

gyarados and ho-oh were used for HM's. I was too lazy to get lapras in the union cave and I didn't really care about sending another egg. I was stuck with a seel for three gyms, and then I finally got the eevee. Swinub and jynx I caught at the ice path.

I have complete team + Rock Climb slave.. Now I just need to grind the levels so I can do something about Red,Need Lunatone on about 70 for Venusaur,Tyranitar about 85 to get rid of Blastoise and Pikachu... I just have no place to train I am trying Mt.Silver but it's really bad. And rematches are just @___@

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum.

I'm really interested in this Monotype challenge, primarily because I've played Pokemon so much that I'm starting to get a little bored out of it :( That's why I just wanna add some spice to my gameplay, haha.

I want to start a new game because no$gba failed to register my save which left me behind by 2 gyms, and I'm already tired of my Dunsparce getting pawned, hahaha.

A quick question:
Since I'm using an emulator and unable to trade, would it be okay if I cheat a Level 1 egg (of course with standard stats) into my team at the start?

And I have absolutely no idea what type I should use.. Any suggestions?
It's probably gonna be very dependent on the answer to the above question, hahaha.

Whatever type you use is the one that determines whether I'd allow an egg.
