I have a question...is it okay if my baby Elekid knew the egg moves Fire Punch/Ice Punch?
 
Now that I've made it past Roark, I'm flying (haha, bad pun) through the other parts. Although, that might just be because I went through Eterna Forest and the Grass Gym. Anyways...

Up in the Air (Part 2):

- Headed to Floaroma Town via Ravaged Path
- Arrived in Floaroma Town and saved the Honey Man in Floaroma Meadows
- Sprayed the tree in Floaroma Meadows with Honey
- Kept resetting until I found a Burmy (Male)
- Successfully caught a Burmy
- Defeated Team Galactic at Valley Windworks
- Successfully caught a Drifloon
- Headed through Eterna Forest with Cheryl
- After making it through, went back in to catch a Murkrow
- Successfully caught a Murkrow
- Entered Eterna City
- Challenged the Eterna City right away
- Murkrow defeated all of the Pokemon in the gym, despite being at least 5 levels lower than any of them
- Received Forest Badge and TM 86 (Grass Knot) from Gardenia
- Received HM01 (Cut) from Cynthia
- Defeated Team Galactic in their warehouse

To Do List:
- Finish Team (Stararptor, Crobat, Drifblim, Mothim, Gyarados, Honchkrow)
- Acquire Magikarp
- Obtain Dusk Stone (Murkrow -> Honchkrow)

Well...irregardless of whether or not my Elekid is valid for this challenge, I do have an update.

--Started game and named myself Konato and my rival Warrang--
--Picked Piplup, and realized my error, as now my rival will have a ground type starter. >__< Oh well, more challenge. XD--
--Traded over my Elekid egg and a Slugma, and I hatched it--
--Grindded up to level 5 and caught a Shinx and levelled it up to level 5--
--Got my Poketch--
--Fought some trainers and then met my rival and trashed him...hopefully it stays this easy. XD--
--Cleared Oreburgh Tunnel and Oreburgh Mine--
--Went and fought Roark...stupid Roarks critical hits. XD Had to restart as my team was KO'ed. Second time, I managed to narrowly win with ELekid and a few HP left. Phew...now, onto Floaroma!--

You're fine with egg moves. I'd rather you not have them, but I'm not going to make you start the challenge over, it just takes away from it IMO.
 
I'll take a Grass challenge in platinum, and I'll edit this post with an update soon.:)

- Backtracked a bit to catch a Magikarp
- Successfully caught a Magikarp
- Deposited Slave in the PC; Taught Drifloon Cut
- Departed Eterna City for Hearthome City via Cycling Road and Mount Coronet
- Burmy evolved whilst on the Cycling Road
- Zubat evolved whilst on the Cycling Road
- Arrived at Hearthome City; didn't stay long
- Left Hearthome City for Veilstone City
- Arrived at Veilstone City; used a few TMs
- Challenged the Veilstone Gym
- Beat the Veilstone Gym using Golbat only - hoping to evolve it soon
- Beat Maylene; received Cobble Badge and TM60 (Drain Punch)

Alright, another update:

--Ventured to Floaroma and trashed the Galactics.
--Ventured through Eterna Forest and leveled up somewhat.
--Trained a bit more up to level 22 (Raymond) and 23 (Alexis).
--Challenged and defeated Gardenia...I said it for Roark, and I'll say it again for her: Stupid Gardenia's critical hits. It took me at least four tries to get through a fight where she didn't critical hit me. Eventually though, the Sp. Def. boosts that Raymond's Charge move gave me saved me.
--Backtracked and caught Rotom at the old Chateau. Too bad I can't get the Secret Key...oh well, Rotom will do well anyways.

Well, another fairly large update:

--After catching Rotom, I trained it up against the trainers on Cycling Path and just north of Oreburgh.
--Traveled through Mt. Coronet
--Visited Hearthome and trained a little
--Backtracked and helped Mira out of Wayward Cave. Some good training there. Too bad I made Alexis forget Flash...>__>. Combine that with my bad sense of direction and it's a MIRACLE we got out of there alive.
--Battled Fantina. Pretty easy, as I had Bite and Spark on Raymond. A bit of a relief considering Gardenia's difficulty...
--Obtained and Eevee from Bebe, and nicknamed him Joel.
--Fought my rival and beat him pretty easily. I am dreading when his Grotle evolves...>__>
--Visited Solaceon and obtained HM05 and thunder stone. Evolved Joel into Jolteon. I love my nicknames. XD
--Fought my way over to Veilstone and obtained both the Shock Wave TM and couple of Thunder TM's. Taught Thunder to Joel and Romer, and Shock Wave to Romeo.
--Grinded against Ace Trainers outside of Veilstone for a while, and gained a whole new respect/hatred for Gligar. XD
--Promptly trashed Maylene and the Galactic Grunts. Whew, another easy gym.
--Traveled to Pastoria and trained up my pokemon along the way.
--Visited Great Marsh and caught my second HM pokemon, Tropius.
--Trained a bit on the route west of Pastoria. Thunder Dancing in permanent rain FTW. XD
--Took on Crasher Wake. Slight difficulty with Quagsire, but Romeo took care of it, and the stat boost from Ominous Wind helped quite a bit. XD
--Took on the running Grunt.
--Obtained Secretpotion and cured the Psyduck.

CURRENTLY:
--Approaching Celestic Town
--Contemplating Boxing Raymond...I want a Magnezone, and I want Bibarel and Tropius as HM pokemon...and I don;t want to box Romeo, Alexis, or Joel. Hmmm...what a quandery.

TO DO:
-- Obtain HM Surf so I can catch a Magnemite.

Sorry for inactivity, haven't been able to get motivated. Anyway, update time.

-Grinded my two members a bit.
-Cleared Route 202.
-Arrived at Jubilife City.
-Saw Looker. Talked a bit, chatted a bit, he fled.
-Gave Cyclone the present.
-Beat the trainers in the School.
-Got the Pokétch. Yes, yes, YES!
-Left Jubilife city, fully healed.
-Destroyed rival. Eat it, chump.

Also, how do you get those pictures on your signature that tell you that you're doing a monotype challenge, and it shows the pokemon?

To get the banner, right click the one you want and click "copy image location". Then, edit your signature, and click the little button that looks like a picture of a tree. Ctrl+V in the box and there you go!
 
Quick Update: Started up diamond, did all the name jibba jabba and picked turtwig as my starter. Im now on the way to Jubilife City. Does anyone know if I can get any catch any dark pokemon by this stage? :D

I know you can catch Murkrow in the Eterna Forest. Don't know of any Pokemon after that other than Skorupi, Spiritomb, and Sneasel.
