Ok, so while playing Pokemon what would have to be the most depressing sad thing that you have seen happen to someone.

For me I would have to say what actually happened to my brother. It's shiny related, but its not like an exploding shiny Graveler. My brother just started his game and went to talk to his dad. He meets Wally and they head off to catch a Pokemon. The Ralts appeared and nothing special about it. Than out from the pokeball Wally through was a shiny Zigzagoon. No, no the Ralts, but the Zizagoon. The same Zigzagoon that would never be seen again. My brother never once has found a shiny (I have found three, and he hates me for it). He finally finally sees one, but he isn't even involved in the battle itself. I have to say I was laughing for a good while after.

Ughh getting all the way to the end of the game with Kyogre and realising i no longer have my masterball

    That sucks.

My cousin had two Mightyena. One was normal, the other shiny. He told me I could have the orange one cause he thought the black one looked cooler. I even told him the orange Mightyena was shiny...but he still traded it to me...for a Bagon.

I still have it. His name is Sunkist.

I'm sure that my cousin regrets it now, though. x3

Oh my that just happened to me in my Emerald ROM. It sucks knowing there's no way in hell you could catch Norman's Zizagoon if it's shiny. You just have to search for it yourself...

For me, it would be in my actual cartridge of Emerald, I was hunting a Feebas, and found one that was SHINY. The odds of it were near impossible, so I send out my only Pokemon suited for catching, a Level 100 Scyther with False Swipe. I used it, and proceeded to search through my bag for a Pokeball. Unfortunately, I had none and the power died out shortly after.

I did find a Feebas, though it was pretty much a hour later, and it wasn't shiny.

I'd say the time my friend's DS and pearl with over 250 hours of gameplay got stolen. LOL

How about this? I knocked into a shiny steelix trying to get out of Iron Mountain. I had one Pokémon left (a level 24 smeargle). I had used my Master Ball on another shiny waaayyy back and i was low on Pokéballs, so all i could do throw pointless Pokéballs at it until eventually i blacked out. D'oh!

Well the most depressing moment for me was when my friend was helping me out with Gold v. because he wiped out Snorlax which meant I couldn't get it again. D:

I've actually had quite a good run with all the games. My worst moment was when I got stuck in the Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar in Yellow when I was little, and I thought I'd have to start a new game. Luckily, I did find my way out. ^^

Heh your brother's never played the Johto versions then. i have found one shiny aside from The Red Gyarados. I don't put much effort or stock in Shinies since they don't get any special boosts and what not.

hehe, your cousin is cute. you see; some people still choose their favorites :)

in ruby, i once caught Rayquaza with an Ultra Ball(which is VERY hard to do) and after i caught, apparently i turned off the game without saving, because when turned the gaame back on, i was Still standing in front of Rayquaza's sprite. I thought i was going to die......

    I have two actually:

    1. I was going through Victory Road in Emerald, only to find a shiny Makuhita. Guess what, it used Whirlwind. I actually knew the odds, though. Which made me seriously mad.

    2. Right after I beat E4, I watched the credits and everything on my Emerald. You know how it saves and restarts the game? Well, after it did that, it SOMEHOW deleted my save. AND that was the same one where I found the shiny Makuhita. Yes, I was depressed knowing I put about 40 hours into the game.

When Team Rocket killed marowak in Kanto.

It makes me want to use my Blastoise to kill them.

One of my friends who had just recently started playing Pokemon (Pokemon Ruby to be exact) had no idea what shinies were nor did he know how rare they were. One day he ran into a shiny Makuhita and fainted it... Of course, I wasn't there. If I had been there, I would have told him how rare it was and to catch it.

Another one of my friends had just started... I think it was Sapphire Version, and ran into a gold Poochyena before he got any PokeBalls.

I found a shiny Abra once. Of course it had to go and teleport away. *weeps*

And once I accidentally deleted my Silver file. I was kind of bored and decided to play the beginning part for fun without intending to save. I got to the first gym and I'm thinking "Better save in case I loose!!". So I did that, then suddenly remembered, but I could not stop in time. I had spent longer on that game than any other at the time, had a super-strong team, lots of my dex filled, and all. I had been pretty attached to the litle guys I guess, so it made me sad.

The saddest thing that's ever happened to me was when I traded my best Pokemon from Diamond to Pearl so I could reset Diamond. I went back later to trade them back, turned Pearl on and realized that the game had an error. Five of my favourite Pokemon had vanished without a trace. I cried over them, and then I had to spend another day breeding their parents to get more Pokemon with the same natures and personalities. I'm never trading anything good to Pearl again.

    Saddest or most depressing...

There was once, a time when a friend of mine that had an AR let me borrow it, and fooled around with the "Phantasm" code (Phantasm = walk through anything), and went through the desk at the Pokémon Center, and saved it. Didn't even bother to look back. I played it again 3 days later, but after realizing that, my friend had gone to europe, never to see him again. So I had to restart it with 339 hours of play, 65 shinies, and 219 lv. 100s. **Cries to look back at it!**

Good thing that after that, I bought a GBA memory card!

Hehe. That's pretty funny... and stupid too. You shouldn't have saved it there. :P

My worst moment was when I was fighting the League for the first time in my life (in diamond) and lost to Cynthia's last pokemon. I was so depressed. Honestly, all that hard work of getting so far was lost. :(

Most saddest moment was when my cousin broke his hand, one day before my birthday party. Well, that's just the start.

W were at the party, as well as my cousin. He couldn't play so he had to play his Pokemon Diamond that he bought way back in 2006 (It was a JP version, obviously).

    Game Story:

I was walking in the grass when I found a shiny Porygon - OH MY GOD to my amazement. When I tried to click on FIGHT, I accidentally clicked RUN because it was hard with only one hand.

Well, that's about it. Sad story just happened 3 days ago so it wasn't too long ago.
