What do you think is the most powerful pokemon in each region ?

Excluding pseudo Legendaries and Legendaries!
(So no Metagross, Salamence etc.)


For me this is what it would be:
Kanto: Gyarados
Johto: Scizor
Hoen: Gardevoir
Sinnoh: Lucario
Unova: Volcarona

This is what I think (competitively, and story-wise):

Kanto: Mewtwo
Johto: Lugia, Ho-oh
Hoenn: Salamence
Sinnoh: Infernape, Gliscor
Unova: Excadrill

I would say Kanto was Dragonite because...well i don't know.
For Johto I would say Sudowoodo because of how he looks.
For Hoenn I would say Absol because he is very fast and he is known as the disaster pokemon.
For Sinnoh it has to be Houndoom for his speed and strength.
For Unova it would always be Zoroark because...well you know why.

Kanto- Arcanine or Gyrados. Both are famed in legends for their brute strength.
Johto- Kingdra. It's yawn can cause whirlpools.
Hoenn- Slaking. Sure, Traunt pulls him down a bit, but his attack is beastly.
Sinnoh- Spiritomb. No weaknesses, enough said.
Unova- Volcarona. Sun moth ftw.

MAGIKARP OWNS ALL i mean cmon it evolves into one of the most feared pokemon EVAR until johto of course... Besides that

Kanto: Magikarp (...self explanatory)
Johto: Donphan (Just because it's so awesome)
Hoenn: Sceptile (Great speed and Decent attack)
Sinnoh: Tangrowth (You can EV train this in any way and it still comes out pretty good)
Unova: Volcarona (Bow and face your destiny to be BURNED in a FIERY INFERNO)

Yeah it is, but the OP said to exclude Pseudo-Legends, haha.
