Muller Report on Trump and Russia finished and submitted

Trump himself has been awfully quiet since this story broke. Seems... odd...
 
Really, the investigation reported what we already knew. Trump didn't exactly hire the best people he could have, but there was no question that he didn't collude with Russia. Still, I think many more investigations will take place despite how this one turned out, so I would be interested in what happens with those. I would certainly be interested at investigations into the Obama WH and DOJ staff...

So basically no collusion, not enough evidence to make an obstruction of justice claim. A little something in here for both sides and something to keep the investigations going until the 2020 election. Atleast we can put to bed the argument that Trump is a "foreign agent", "bought by Russia", or "stole the election" nonsense.

Although it is worth noting it will be hard for Democrats to make the "Obstruction of Justice" charge now that we know there is no collusion.

I am certain I am not alone in saying I want to see the whole report.

IMOHO, the response Republican lawmakers AND voters are showing is the political equivalent of signing a contract without reading it.

It may be a while, the report needs to be redacted to remove anything that could be harmful to ongoing grand jury or criminal prosecutions. At this point the broad points are known, specifically no collusion, not enough evidence for obstruction. The faster the Democrats admit there is no collusion the better for their party and the country.

A risk I will gladly take, but I can assure you, I do NOT speak alone when I say I will not simply take Barr's word for it.
 
As far as the report's conclusion on the collusion aspect, it's not really going to be necessary to have the actual report to verify that. If Barr made such a big lie as to say that the special counsel found no collusion when they did find collusion, we would have heard Mueller or someone contest that already.

The thing to want to see the report for would be the obstruction bit, as apparently Mueller's team was not completely clear on that part and apparently did not explicitly draw a conclusion (and then on top of that Barr inserts his own opinion about it), so people will want to see the report to make a judgment on that themselves.

If there was anything in that report that proved obstruction, someone would have leaked it by now.
 
Well, LDS, suit yourself. Like I tell everyone else, good luck convincing any of Trump's detractors (including Pelosi and Schumer) that they should take Barr's word for it. We pride ourselves in not having blind faith in politicians (or anyone), much less Trump's cronies.

Muller, Rosenstein, and those that helped Muller write the report all know what is in it, If Barr was lying then any one of them could dispute it, furthermore the report will eventually end up with Congress why would Barr risk his own impeachment on a lie that will get exposed one way or the other eventually? It is the secret too big to keep, for such little gain, thus failing any logical examination of that conspiracy theory.

The report will come out, but that should not stop proper investigations into those like Colmey and the use of the now discredited Steele dossier as Senator Graham is now calling to do. After two years of this, maybe it is time for a special council with the same power to prosecute to probe the Obama Administration and Clinton Campaign when it comes to the Steele dossier, and the FISA application on Trump's campaign.

I should point out, "collusion" is not a crime. Obstruction of Justice, however, certainly IS.

Collusion is a crime, but it is rather hard to "obstruct justice" if there is no crime being committed in the first place.

Trump has every right to play it up, Democrats have used this to attempt to destroy his Presidency and he has a right to push it back.

Simple the Obama Administration used a false report to get wiretaps on a political candidate, and the Clinton campaign potentially tried to set up a sting operation at Trump Tower using foreign officials, and worked with foreign consultants to create said false document. It is time to investigate any potential crimes, either by the Senate, the Justice Department, or by a special prosecutor like Muller.

I actually find it kind of disturbing that so many people actually think using stolen evidence will gain a conviction. Know what "fruit of the poisonous tree" is?
