ANYTHING ELSE: Piplup is starter, evolve into Prinplup at normal level and to Empoleon at level 42 (everstone thing). Shinx caught before fighting ジュン (Jun/Pearl), evolving Shinx at Iron Island to Luxio, and to Luxray at Pokemon League. Misdreavus caught in Eterna Forest (Keeping Astonish). Riolu egg given by Riley at Iron Island and evolves in 7th gym. Onix and Zubat caught in Iron Island.

Well nvm then I need Pearl because Misdreavus is only found in Pearl...so yeah I'll just post this to show everyone my epic fail

Well, I had already beaten Kanto some days ago, shortly after I posted my Elite 4 Update, but I was not feeling ready for Red yet since my team had that much trouble against the Elite 4. So I grinded my team in the Elite 4 (now, with higher level and better movesets they were actually easy, only the Umbreon occassionally annoyed me) up to the high 60s, where I had enough of it and just decided to try Red. He was a joke. The battle was like this:
:t103:vs:t025:Of course, I lead with Exeggutor, everything else would have been foolish. First turn, it used Thunder once or twice (did about nothing), i used Sleep Powder and Leech Seed. Then, he started using Full Restores while I was trying to keep Pikachu asleep for maybe 2 more turns, until I had enough of it and just used Psychic. It KOd. Next was Charizard, so I went to Seadra.
:t117:vs:t006:'zard used Flamethrower, which did slightly less than half. My Seadra's Surf OHKOd it then. Next was Espeon, so I went back to Exeggutor.
:t103:vs:t196:I seeded it, put it asleep and used Giga Drain. I don't know the exact order in which I did this (I know that Giga Drain was the last of these actions though), but when it died, I had Full HP anyways.
:t103:vs:t143:Leech Seed worked wonders here. It and Giga Drain (I think I also used Psychic once or twice though, since I still needed some Giga Drain PP for Blastoise) helped me to heal off the damage from Snore (luckily it never managed to use Body Slam), and when it decided to increase its Special Defense by using Amnesia, it was already almost dead.
:t103:vs:t003:Saur set up sun, while I tried Leech Seed-and then realized that I was fighting against a grass type. So, Exeggutor got a Solarbeam into its many faces, but it didn't matter, since the unnecessary Sleep Powder hit and Psychic killed the thing.
:t103:vs:t009:All Blastoise managed to do was setting up some rain. Then, it went to Sleep, got seeded and Giga Drained and died.

Seriously, I never knew before that Red's team has such a serious Exeggutor weak, I'll have to use these things more often.

While it saw the most action throughout most of the game, Golbat ironically didn't see any action at all against Red.

I just noticed this still had its pre-evo's sprite, but it was already an Exeggutor when I first beat the Elite 4, don't let the wrong sprite fool you.
Well, as seen above, Exeggutor greatly improved with these 2 TMs that I could easily get as soon as I reached Kanto.

Because of being the only thing on my team that could beat Lance, in the long run Seadra managed to get past the rest of my team in terms of levels. It's Surf was probably the most powerful attack on my team.

I trade some eggs from my Diamond cartidge so i can have the Riley's pokemons, i started with Piplup but only because Riley's pokemon lack of Surf capable pkmns =).
I start to run when i get the shoes and the eggs traded so my pokes have the place of hatch in Twinleaf town or in route 201
Straight to Jubilee when my party's ready (i make little training), fight my rival, reach Oreburgh city, went to the mine and i saved before fight the Gym leader.
