    I don't know if this has already been asked and if it has, please close topic or link me to another that already exists, how do I get a Munchlax or Snorlax in Pearl w/o migrating? I don't have any on my other games but I wouldn't mind a Snorlax to use in Wireless battling as a Physical/Special Sweepers Wall.
     
    To get a Munchlax slather some honey on the tree at the Wind Works. He only appears there.

    Actually, Munchlax appears under any honey tree.
    The Windworks one was just a little myth apparently as that was one of the earlier places to use the honey trees.

    There's a 1% chance of encountering Munchlax on any tree...

    But oh well. I'll still only use that one.
     
    I thought Munchlax only appears at Windworks at first but I was wrong too... X3

    Anyway, If you want more info on which Pokemon may appear on the Honey Trees, here's some:

    Aipom - 10% chance
    Burmy - 15% chance
    Cherubi - 15% chance
    Combee - 15% chance
    Heracross - 9% chance
    Munchlax - 1% chance
    Cascoon - 15% (Pearl only)
    Silcoon - 15% (Diamond only)
    Wurmple - 20%

    So that's a 1/100 chance to get a Munchlax! (it means if your unlucky enough, you have to encounter 100 Pokemon from the Honey trees to get one Munchlax) (sorry for being too scientific)

    will sloaking the tree bark multiple times increases the chance of encountering munchlax?
     
    okay. i thought you wouldn't get it that way. dang, that's rare though, 1%. If I'm unlucky, it could take 199 encounters to see it, then the next encounter could be a munchlax or something. you have to wait a long time to get honey on the trees. you also need national dex for like 50 Pokemon in Pearl and Diamond. pokemon i'm looking for are Munchlax, Nidoran (M,F) and Larvitar (needs Diamond, bummer)

    if your unlucky you could go for 5000 battles and not see it =D

    i would but my wireless router isn't working *goes and smashes it* so i'm trying to make it work. i may go to my friends house some time soon so he has wifi but i'm not sure. if i get my wifi up and running i'll PM you.

    Dutch_Courage:do you have 3 Munchlaxes or just 3 of the other pokemon? if it's one of the others, i'll PM as soon as my wifi is up and running.

    PS:is it just me or is this turning into a a mini trade thread? lol!

    I have larvitars and a nidoqueen and nidoking (so i can hatch you a few eggs), im only at 'seen 380', so im sure you can help me out too :)!
     
    one could actualy argue that capturing munchlax is timing.
    like a few seconds until 24 hours since u put the honey passes

    but chances are still low

    Dutch_Courage:All about WiFi, but meh, I don't think I'd have anything you haven't already got or seen. Have some Pokemon I'm transferring from Emerald(mainly legendaries) so maybe that could help.

    Here what I did to get my munchlax I want by all the places that I remember that had sweet trees. I brought lots of honey and kept on doing it and after a day I got it. I got at route 212 at level 5 with impish nature and holding a berry. It now a level 33 snorlax but the only drawback is I wish it had curse.
     
    that munchlax s so veiry rare to find it it will take in a month or a week i got a routh 210 pretty rare
     
    I just gave up on the honey tree thing and traded on the GTS. I got a munchlax in less than 12 hours for my aipom. :)
