A while ago I had a fic idea that, without going into too much detail, incorporated a bit of the Lumiose museum into its plot. So what I thought was that I could expand upon the idea a bit and turn into a series of articles.
Basically what I'm pitching is an analysis of different "art exhibits" that the Lumiose Museum would be borrowing from various other places around the world. Each of the exhibits in question would be connected by and overall theme ("Creatures of the deep" - For water pokemon like Relicanth/Lanturn for example), with the exhibits containing an appropriate amount of paintings for the article. Under each of the selected works (I'd use TCG art to make it easier) I'd be writing a small "analysis" of the painting - Like any piece in a museum, I'd be explaining its relevancy to culture, history and style. This is more of a creative piece rather than a factual one. I'd certainly be taking inspiration from pokedex entries/pokemon mythology, but I'm trying to create an original work that would give new stories and tidbits for people to consider when they think about certain pokemon.
It'd pretty much be set up like:
INTRO
Paragraph or two explaining the theme of the paintings, what to expect, why they're grouped together and if it applies, explaining the "importance" of these paintings contextually.
ANALYSIS
A collection of TCG art that fits the theme. Under each piece would be an explanation, mainly a story on why the painter would paint this pokemon. These stories would be original but not veer into going against canon knowledge of the pokemon.
CONCLUSION
Go see the exhibit, author's personal painting, etc. All that fun stuff!

Thoughts? I'll be here studying Calculus.
