My 3DS won't turn on

Ugh, so a few days ago, my 3ds was no longer able to charge, since the charging port is p much pinned. So, I had to order a cradle. But now the power light doesn't come on at all. I'm actually scared to take a look at the motherboard...since I don't know what I'd have to look for. I'm also not sure how soldiering works & I can't buy a replacement 3ds right now.

I'm hoping the charging cradle works, but I'm really, really unsure it will. my 3ds is five years old...I've never water damaged it, or damaged the system itself, except the back cover--but that's it. So I don't know why this is happening. =/

For what little I know about this particular issue, I'd say that at least part of it is normal wear and tear (especially with the battery being no longer able to charge and the charging port not being able to make a connection).

Heck, with a system that age (and possibly also with a lot of use, depending on how much you've used it), there's bound to be some degree of component failure, whether it be something on the motherboard's circuitry, the screen, the speakers, or any other on-board peripherals that make up that system.

That's odd... I've had my 3DS for around the same time, dropped it over 10 times, had the circle pad break off, and it still works perfectly... I wonder how yours broke... I'm guessing too that it's age, you could go to a console repair shop to get it fixed? :D If it's too expensive otherwise to fix, I suggest trying to find a 3DS that's pre-owned, and therefore most likely cheap, or buy a New Nintendo 2DS XL, as they're quite cheap brand-new (more expensive than the 3DS, or 3DS XL at launch.) This entry is old...and the problem was already fixed by buying a charger cradle.

Sorry, I'm dumb, I hadn't realised it was fixed until later. I'm glad the problem is solved anyways.
