    a place where the sexiest tag-makers come to do nothing learn!
    So... here's the lowdown on my style. I'm not like people that just slap renders on and call it down. No. That's gross and bad. I'm going to be a major graphic design. I've been published. I've been honored by my art department as the best graphics art student in the school (you want proof?). I've been hand selected by the MFA to be in our high school art book. I know my stuff. Yeah, you could say I'm pretty good. So my style? It changes. I can do different things. I'm what they call versatile. Basically: You're in with some good stuff.​

    Assignment #1:    ​

    After applying for a job at a famous art, fashion, and pop culture magazine company,
    you have been selected as one of the top few finalists to receive the last position in the company.    ​


    The managers and CEOs of the company are not sure how to pick the last employee.
    You're very nervous, yet excited because this is a big position. Corporate Executive Manager over Design and Fashion. It certainly pays, big.​

    The higher ups finally decided how to pick the true person fit for the job. They decided that each
    of the final applicants, will have to turn in a Large Piece (LP). They are to design this piece with the
    theme based on one of the four seasons, winter, summer, spring, and autumn and try to express the feeling you most enjoy or get, or in fact, just the feeling that just says "winter" or "spring", etc., during the season you chose. E.g.: Hot cocoa and ice skating on Christmas Eve.​


    This assignment will be due: January 10, 2009​



    Assignment #2​

    For this assignment, your resources will be cut off. That's right. For this assignment, you will not be able to use brushes or renders. This assignment is meant to test how well you perform when your resources are cut. You may use any canvas size you like, however, you must use this stock. Good luck!​

    Interesting assignment. I'm not too great at lp's, so this should be really good learning wise for me. BUT I HAVE A QUESTION :'D!!! What's the minimum/maximum size for this?
     
    I think the names are colour coded. That way, I get to be sexiest >:-D

    I too have a q/a. Is this an actual comp? I know it's a stupid question, but your assignment was so convincing. 8D

    A competition? No. This is just to see how creatively you think. Well, it's not going to be treated like a competition, although I worded it that way to get you to try and think more creatively than your other peers here.

    Also, welcome Tiny and Aurapostle to the fun! And I didn't put the names up in specific order, it was just the order noxious had in his thread. XD

    About how much larger are you accepting it?

    I don't have size restrictions (yet). Why limit creativity when the purpose is to see how creatively you think?

    Also, I changed the deadline to Jan. 10. I don't feel like waiting 2 weeks. |:

    Someday, I'll Find My Place In This World

    My piece was on the season where the meaning of the word 'cold' really does emphasize.
    I'm talking about winter, ladies and gentleman.
    I've titled this piece "Someday, I'll Find My Place In This World" for several reasons.
    During the winter, I think about a lot of things. It's my only time to really sit back and go into
    a deep state of thought.
    I always feel as though I need to search for myself whenever winter hits.
    Most people enjoy times with their families; Most enjoy going out and spending time with their friends and having fun;
    Me? My room is my world.

    Okay noobs. Today's the day to turn your assignments in if you haven't already. Rockets has dropped out of the class cause we're clearly too sexy for him. Honestly though, I didn't think this would take that long.

    Aha, yes... guilty as charged with the not-sexy-enough and whatnot. It's just that exams are in a couple weeks and I sorta think that, y'know, my education is a little more important than this. I knew I wasn't going to be able to finish assignments on time, so instead of ask for extra time, I just decided to drop out. Was fun while it lasted, CME. (Y)
     
    Well, yesterday was the last day to post assignments, and I still only got two. Unfortunately for Vivaa, Michii, and Aurapostle, that means you will be demoted to the Intermediate class (ironically Vivaa's) until you learn to apply yourself and get stuff done. This demotion will last for 1 week. As for Ryusheika and Tiny, you can start on Assignment #2!

    so basically we can do anything to this stock as long as its made and done by ourselves?
     
    Yeah. All you have to do is use that stock and not use any brushes or renders. You can manipulate the stock in any way.
     
    Can we use smudging? D: Cause it's kind of like... you use the brush shapes for smudging, so I'm not really sure if that'll count as a default tool or brushing.
