If anyone was curious, this is how I approached the first assignment.
 
Vivaa:

Unfortunately for Vivaa, Michii, and Aurapostle, that means you will be demoted to the Intermediate class (ironically Vivaa's) until you learn to apply yourself and get stuff done. This demotion will last for 1 week.

Used pentool for soft brushing, "light textures", and whatever else is interesting in there.
 
i wont be able to submit my assignment on time my internet is down and i dont have access to another computer with photoshop atm. Sorry I should get my internet back soon hopefully.

like how i made the text in c4d and then did everything else in ps

Munna, for your question, you're welcome to use any program you like, I'm not going to be a PS-only nazi. Whatever you feel most comfortable with works.

Sorry for the delay on the assignment. No fancy text for this. The assignment is to make a tag/LP/wallpaper, whatever you like. But you will be desaturating + inverting your stock. Good luck!

Rawrrrr the invert didn't really turn out very well for me. And I just realized I have no foreground effects. :|
 
I don't suppose you'd be kind enough to give me a render to work with? xP
 
Hmm, that seems quite good, the face will have a nice dark grayscale.

Not too good with the anime stuff recently. Mainly because I've gone down the image manip route xD
