Hi there.

My name is PokeNick or just Nick. I've been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue came out in the UK. I've joined PC as a few months ago I started playing some rom hacks thanks to learning to mod my 3ds. This had lead to this rabbit hole of me playing rom hacks like Pokémon Pink, Black and White 3, Pokemon nova red digimon, digimon crystal and many more including this gym of mine on my pc after my YouTube recommendations decided i need to see three video about it.

Still what else can i say? My favourite Pokémon Meganium, my favourite gym leader is Melony and I've been having a blast with the fans game.

It is great to see more long time fans of Pokémon join PokéCommunity. I started with Red and Blue too! Which starter did you pick back then ? Have you tried some fan games besides the ROM hacks ? I could suggest some great ones if you want!

Thank you for the warm welcome and I went with bulbasaur first time playing. I would love some suggestions as honestly I was looking through the pages early and there is so many I don't know where to starts ha ha. I have played this gym of mine, but I can see from looking around there is so many more.

I see you like Grass type starters! My favourite in these is Serperior. With its hidden Ability, Contrary, if it uses Leaf Storm, it can get its special attack go up 2 stages each turn!
For great fan games, I can suggest Solar Light - Lunar Dark, Zeta / Omicron, Insurgence (my favourite ^^). And if you are into top level challenges, there is Reborn (also with hairpulling puzzles) and Desolation (not finished but already tens of hours of playing)!

Guilty as charged ha ha. Serperior is a fab choice, I've seen that ability used in battle videos and boy does it seem to sweep well given the chance. Thank you for the suggestions, I will take a note of these and give them a go later. Thanks again for the warm welcome =)

Meganium's a pretty rare fave, what made it stand out to you? (it's one of my upper favorite starters too, I just really like its design lol)

Thank you for the warm welcome and I have! Been looking through the fans games and loading some onto my PC ready to play when I can. Honestly I like meganium thanks to Ash's
Chikorita first as her personality kinda stuck with me when I was younger and all my chikoritas where all like this I though ha ha.

But I think that lead to meganium become a fav as I've gotten older I can't help but think instead of a trainer I'd like to run a flower shop with a Maganium and lots of grass and bug type pokemon. We look after plants and run our little shop ha ha.

Hi there and meowscarada is a good choice. As for melony I think it has to do with her design, she just fits her ice gym so well all bundled up. I also like her voice in pokemon masters, it fits her so well as this mature lady who is strict, but motherly. I also love the little history of her too like she supports her son by being his number one fan in his fan club. It's just something you know a mum would do. Even if she does tell the player to fight her son next time they see him ha ha.

I have always like gym leaders with good backstories and I think the pokemon manga does this best with gym leaders.
