Isn't thunderbolt stronger than thunderpunch. Plus, you won't be prone to static and poison point and stuff like that. In gold, Lances dragonite knows thunder, so it can learn thunderbolt in all likelyhood. It has a much larger movepool than salamence and can learn thunder wave to speed it up a bit. I'd stick with him.
Thunderpunch is physical? I thought special attack counted for grass, ice, fire, dark, dragon, psychic, ELECTRIC, and water even if it involved physical contact. I play 3rd gen though has something changed? I'm baffled on this one.
Actually, it was always like that. The split between physical and special attacks was determined by type up until D/P, and now it's decided individually for each attack.no, its never been like that. if u check ur pokes moves it should tell u whether or not it is physical special, status, or whatever
In other words, don't use fly.
okay, i tought my dragonite thunderpunch so now its moveset is-
dragon claw
earthquake
dragon dance
thunderpunch
comments? suggestions?
and whats wrong with the move fly?
Yeah, that would be good teaching Fire Punch instead of Ice Beam. it takes care of it's main weakness, ice. and some others.well everyone tells me to teach dragonite dragon dance in place of ice beam, but i dont like using status moves i never do. so i was wondering, should i teach it fire punch in place of ice beam?
Yeah, we can. anyways, you should give him leftovers, and teach him Dragon Dance somewhere in there. Also, what game is this? Leftovers Because he's bulky and all bulky/Heavy Pokemon, should have Leftovers.thank you, and i hope we can get past the previous quarrel. no hard feelings
