Rather than flooding this topic with threads for every fake card I make, I figured It would be best to post my fakes in a single thread. I had attempted to do this before, but the title of the thread contained My old username (KougaWolf) and I thought it might be confusing to post anymore fakes there since my username change(s). Another reason is because I think the mods will kill me if I continue making multiple threads. o.o

I'll start this thread out with my most recent fake:

    A card that represents ME!

I even bothered to give it that speckled effect that the old Japanese cards had.

    Translation:

    Illustrator
    Aki the Tanuki

An exclusive card made in recognition of Aki the Tanuki.

Aki the Tanuki loves to draw and is studying to become a better artist. He loves to draw Pokemon. You should check out his artwork sometime.

This is my attempt to remake Dark Machamp from the original Team Rocket set. Obviously I changed "Dark" to "Rocket's." This is my first time making a Pokemon SP. It might be a little too powerful, seeing as Pokemon SP are basic. I know SP Pokemon don't have flavor text, but I LIEK MY FAYX TO HAZ FLAVOUR! I also know the image is poor quality, but I actually intended to do that.

Credits to Cascade Gonpory for the blank. It did have his name on it, but the SP rips that I found (supplied by NeoIdea23) had the border that appears on this card. I'll see about editing that in future Pokemon SP cards I make (if any).

Aki the Tanuki is an. . Okay card. It's not good, but it's not bad. The drawing is pretty good, but the text is rather. . Well, like an RP sign-up. Maybe you could've also nixed the advertisement at the end?

As for the Machamp remake, it's pretty good, but, as you said, the image is poor quality. I don't believe Cascade Gonpory has low image quality and, if you really did intend to do that, it probably wasn't the best idea on your part. Not much else to say, considering it's just a remake.

The inspiration for the Aki the Tanuki card came from an official Illustrator card printed several years back. Here is its translation: "We certify that your illustration is an excellent entry in the Pokémon Card Game Illustration Contest. Therefore, we state that you are an Officially Authorized Pokémon Card Illustrator and admire your skill." Therefore, the card has no in-game effect. Thanks, though. :)

The reason for the ad at the end was, for one, the card is about my artwork (that's the link to my DA) and, two, some Japanese promos have red text after the illus. that translates "this card is not tournament legal." I figured this would make good filler text.

The main reason I made the image poor quality on the Machamp R card was to make it resemble some card scans I've seen online. You know, those not-so good ones? Low-quality scanner, perhaps?

Even so, it shouldn't be low quality in general. Remaking cards are making them so they look their best. Low quality images aren't good.

There have been a couple cards in the TCG released with no attacks. However, most of them (if not all) are Lv.X, so they would have the attacks of the previous level. That's why I may make a Lv.X for this one.

It may not have any attacks, but it can still cause damage to the opponent with its Harsh Light Poke-Body which can Confuse the opponent. Though this card may not be the best support, I'm pretty sure I would run one of these in my deck (if it were real). Ho-Oh is my favorite Pokemon, afterall.

Your Pichu's attack is just a bit hard to follow. .

And the artwork does look really unofficial (even if the picture is adorable). I also spot a small (kinda insignificant) problem in the attack. You didn't put a space between '2.Add'.

Yeah, it is a bit hard to follow, but I wanted to make it work the same as the attack does in the games.

I usually don't use pics from the anime as they don't look like official artwork for cards, but the 2009 Movie set features cards that have anime illustrations, so that's what led me to this.

The reason that there is no space there is because the text was justified to fill. I'm sure if you look at enough real Pokemon cards, you will spot this kind of thing.

    Thanks for commenting. :)

It's my 3rd week of not being able to draw, so you guys still won't get to see a card illustrated by me.

However, you can see a new template by me. This template combines elements of the Japanese classics and the new DP cards.

(Remade Pikachu from the Neo Destiny set.)

    --- --- ---

I was playing around with my new template when I created a reverse holo version (using my starry foil sheet). I haven't been about to draw for about a month, so I used old TCG art on this one. It's a remake of one of Lt. Surge's Magnemites, but it doesn't have "Lt. Surge" in its name anymore.

It has been a while since I last made a fake featuring my own artwork, but since I got my art back (so it seems), I decided to make one.
I'm pretty satisfied with this illustration, but I totally failed at trying to make my trainer icon. ><

You're right, he is rather creepy looking. Like I pretty much said, I don't like how it turned out. As for the Pokemon, I can see where you're coming from. I've been able to make so many things out of this. However, I have seen some real cards like this as well, particularly some of Atsuko Nishida's work. Thanks for commenting. :)

The fadedness of the type symbol is none of my doing. It's like that it seems on all of Cascade's blanks.

    Thank you. :)

Remade Froslass AL again. Thanks to straybadkitty from GaiaOnline for this new trainer icon.
