That stinks

I had to reset my chaining a couple times but this chain is my highest and its at 12 right now ^^

It really helps having a pikachu with static infront

Hello everyone this is the Diamond and Pearl shiny discussion thread. First off the chances of getting a shiny are 1 in 8192 and there is no other way to increase those chances. But there is a Poke Radar way to get shinies within a day or two. I do not know the instructions i will soon.

For me I have but 1 shiny. A female expload in emerald. I cloned it so now i have like 30 level 6 shiny whishmurs with pkrs and it is legit. Check my signature for my other shiny information.

1. Have the Pokeradar.
2. If you can, buy 99 max repels.
3. Go to a big GRASS area, because you'll have more posibilities of get the same pokemon.
4.In your poketch put the application number 20.
5. Select your Pokeradar with "Y" button.
6. Enter in the GRASS, save the game and use 1 max repel.
7. Use pokeradar, and defeat 40 pokemon of a same tipe [It sounds crazy, but it works!].
Note** If you use it, and it results to be a diferent pokemon, shut down your DS, because it breaks the cheat/chain.
8. When you beat 40 identical pokemon, use another pokeradar and you'll se a shine! Go catch it

P:S: It does take awile to get to 40 and that chains break very often and when you do get a high chain it may take awile for a shining grass appear. Look up shiny poke radar on youtube and click on date added there will be videos of them finding shinies

It's still random.And what do you me by this?:Instead of shuting you game on and off SR for a shiny pokemon by pressing L+R+START+SELECT its quicker

an SR shuts off you game and turns it back on but its quicker then using the power button. Like 10 times faster. And its not random beacuse i have seen videos on it and its happened to me. And according to nintendo the put that in there to make them more common and when you do that its set and the higher your chain the higher chance a shiny will appear
 
The Pokéradar thing is a rumour and is not true. Do not post rumours as fact.

I own lots of shinies, all of whom are in my sig. I'm not in the mood to write about each one, but I still do have stories for each of them. Ask me if you like, and there's a smallish chance I might respond.

You can usually catch me in the SHC. I'm currently after shiny Dialga, and I have done 10,264 resets for him.

Butterfree(Silver)
I read on supercheats.com that if you search in the forest west or the city with the 2nd gym you would see a red caterpie. So me being very gullible I went and searched and in 5 minutes I had a red caterpie.

Magmar(Crystal)
I just saved before the odd egg and SRed everytime one wasnt shiny.

Electabuzz(Crystal)

Dustox(Ruby)
I had just beat Rusturboro gym and save Wingull. So I went threw Petalburg forest and accidently went nto the grass and bam the first pokemon was a shiny wurmple and I caught it but I later started my game over.>.<

I just turned off the generator in New Mauvile and I was on my way out then BAM! a blue voltorb. I caught it in one Great Ball.

Crobat(Ruby)
I was walking threw victory road then bam a green Golbat I caught it!

Regirock(Ruby)
After training my voltorb and golbat to level 100 and evolving them both I battled Regirock. It killed my Crobat in 2 attacks and my elctrode used explosion. And the rest of my pokemon were in level 10-20. So after that I restarted my game. Bye shinies :'(

Wobbefet(Emerald)
I was in the safari zone looking for a light balll then bam a purple wobbefet. I moved closer and it stayed. I threw a ball but shoot it was so close and it stayed so i threw another one. Oh no the -pokemon broke free! Then it ran.

Roserade(Pearl)
I was trying to get a Makuhita from a makuhita swarm and the 1st pokemon I seen was a level 51 shiny roselia. I threw a masterball.

Gastrodon(East!)
I was trying to get a absol from a absol swarm then the first pokemon I seen was a light blue shellos(yes it sparkled) I threw another masterball and caught it. But then my brother restarted my game. Roserade and gastrodon were caught 2 days apart.

Tyranitar(Pearl)
I was using poke radar for about 3 days and with a chain of maybe 45 larvatars I rset to hunt for a shiny patch. Then bam i found one and caught a female larvatar. Later my cousin reset my game.

what the hell are you talking about, there is a video proven. Also this works because I got a shiny Gligar on my second try

Wow, that's quite a list. I would LOVE to know how you got the shiny Event Legendaries (particularly Jirachi).

Oh yeah, my Zigzagoon evolved, so now I have a shiny Linoone!
 
Oh my god I was Ralts since I got more Ralts then Shinxs so then around my 10th one bam its shiny!

Yesterday I was chaining ralts and oon the 10th one I found it was blue. and its male but since its jappennese i dont know the nature.

Then today I was chaining Marrep and my highest one was 30 I have been chaining for a couple hours after that and I had to restart again and on the first pokemon it was a purple sheep this one is male too and it is level 7 but again its jappennese.

Then like 20 minutes later I started chaining shellos east but I couldnt get past 5 so I decided to get a pokemon with storm drain and I desided to get a high level gastrodon with Storm drain so I went on route 222 and started searching then BAM sparkling Gastrodon!

If you guys think i am lieing tell it to the videos !

I had a Wurmple, Scorupi, and Budew, but I released them, because... I didn't want them :\

and I'm too mean and lazy of a person to trade them to anyone who does want them.
