As for my rival, I've had some bad luck naming my rivals (I named my rival in the original gold Gary XD). I did like the option Damion for my rival in Diamond but I'm not using it for HeartGold.

I think I will name my rival Derek.

Hmm, all of mine so far have been comical, like my pokemon blue rival was named Idiot, and my Platinum Rival was named Coconut....dont ask XD

My name, of course, on SoulSilver will be Brent (male). On HeartGold it will be Soul (female). Either that, or SoulSilver will have my female char and HeartGold will have my male. I'll probably do Silver as the female, because I usually like how the female protagonists look in the series, and the Soul part came from Soul Silver. Rival will either be silver/gold (if on hg silver, on ss gold), some random curse word in my head (like i did all those years ago in Silver and Gold, lol) or Johnny. I named the D/P/Pt rival Johnny.

If I get both games, On Soulsilver, Ill call myself (Boy Character) Casey (Me) and my rival Cody (My twin brother). And is I get HeartGold, Ill choose the girl and call her Casey and then the rival Cody again. XD
