    Hello there,
I have just gotten myself two of these cards both in Japanese and English ver.
The japanese ver looks Gem Mint based on how it looks but the english ver looks a little off.
Looking directly on both the cards they look fine but the english ver will have some sort of cloudy white marks all over the rainbow backgrounds if you look at a certain angle.

I wonder if anyone can help me to determine if I should return the card as I bought it as Near Mint unused.

    Thank you.😭

I don't really see them? Rest of the card looks in near mint and those could possibly be a manufacturing defect or even the normal appearance of the card. Haven't managed to pull a rainbow rare myself yet (just the regular and the FA).

When I get home in about 10 hours if I remember, I'll check the rainbow rare Lucario Melmetal I picked up last weekend for that, though.

I would assume it could be manufacturing defect if I can compare it with another rainbow rare english ver myself.

Unfortunately I just started collecting and I only gotten japanese versions mainly.

I guess it has a pretty unique foggy look to it if it isn't a manufacturing defect lol😅

I have added a marking to the first picture where the visible marks can be seen.

It's kinda confusing because some may see it as the rainbow reflective effect but these uneven foggy marks are only visible when they are not reflecting any lights.

Ohhh it took me a bit but I see what you mean. The card itself is definitely fine. It's just the texture printed on the card stock behind the actual image. Since the cards are produced in different factories, maybe you got the tail end of some leftover sheets before they stopped texturing them in this way.

Interesting, well I must say it does look weird but unique at the same time because of this.

Kinda hesitating if I should return it to the seller.

Since I guess its pretty rare to encounter something like this? Hmm..

If only the cards have the quality of the japanese version.

Their cards are so much more high in quality and finer textures '-'
