Hello all. I recently restarted my SoulSilver because I was extremely bored of just whooping Red's ass. I'll be using close to the same Pokemon I used before but I want to vary it up a little. Please not that this is IN-GAME so I'm not EV training or Soft Resetting for the perfect IVs. The only thing I pay attention to is Natures. Anyways, I just earned my final Johto Badge. So far I have:

    Typhlosion
    Nature: Bold
    Level:40
    Moves:
    Lava Plume
    Sunny Day
    Solar Beam
    Focus Blast

    Ursaring
    Nature: Jolly
    Level:39
    Moves:
    Slash
    Faint Attack
    Strength
    Brick Break

    Dragonair
    Nature: Adamant
    Level:38
    Moves:
    Waterfall
    EntremeSpeed
    Thunder Wave
    Dragon Rush

    Piloswine
    Nature: Careful
    Level:40
    Moves:
    Earthquake
    Ice Shard
    Ancient Power
    Take Down

    HM SLAVE Dratini
Just here until I get a decent water.
    Moves:
    Surf
    Whirlpool

Typhlosion is pretty much set. Because of his Bold nature, his defense gets a slight boost. Lave Plume for burn and STAB, Sunny Day to power up Lava Plume, eliminate Solar Beam charge, and decrease water damage. Focus Blast is just there.

Ursaring needs some work done. Slash is for a decent STAB, but I might replace with Facade to run with his Guts ability. Faint Attack is there to counter Ghosts and Psychics. Strength will obviously be removed in place of Earthquake. Brick Break I think is fine as is.

Dragaonair is... meh. Waterfall is great water move with a flinch chance. I hate Aqua Tail for its accuracy. ExtremeSpeed will probably have to go because I have Thunder Wave as a speed reducer. Then again, I might get rid of Thunder Wave too so... I'm not sure about these two yet. I might replace them with Fly and Dragon Dance. Dragon Rush will be Dragon Claw soon.

Piloswine is my homey. I love this piggy. Anyways, Earthquake is a must. Ice Shard is his only physical ice move, I believe. When the time comes, I'll get Mamoswine Ice Fang. Ancient Power is crap, but I need it to evolve him to Mamoswine. I'll trash that for Stone Edge when he evolves. Take Down will become Return, because my favorite Pokemon ever made must have it!

The HM Slave Dratini is my Surfer and Whirlpooler, since I have currently have no water Pokemon.

If you have any suggestions of what I should change, or what I should change in the future, tell me. I can't trade because my brother broke his DS and he's trying to save up, which will take 2 months or so. I do have some TMs that I traded over from my Pearl before he broke it though. I know absolutely nothing about breeding don't bombard me with comments about egg moves or whatever, and I'm not about to retrain anyone either so....

As you probably have noticed, I have two empty slots. I don't repeat types so don't go telling me to get Pidgeot or something. I need some suggestions on what I should get for a decent water type. I don't want Lapras or Gyarados because I have both an ice and a flying type and no offense, but I hate them. I was thinking Azumarill, but Nintendo made it appear in only one place with a 1% chance of finding it there... Even if I need to beat the Elite 4 and get the National Dex to get a decent water type, I will do it! I would get Feebas but I lost my Pokewalker and sold my Generation 3 Games. Sucks for me... Anyways, the same applies for my 6th Pokemon which I have no clue on what to get. If you could please post the Pokemon's moveset and nature, I would appreciate it!

    Thanks guys!

Why not Lanturn then? Solves the electric and water poke issues there. (That is if you do not go with Azumarill).

At any rate threads on team advice belong in the In-game Team Help section, so I'll move this there for you.

Out of interest, how come you've not already evolved your Piloswine? It should evolve when it levels up knowing AncientPower, which your Piloswine already does, so you could have evolved it as early as Lv.34...

As for extra Pokemon... Yeah, take Lanturn as suggested above. Not many people use Lanturn, and I've never raised one, although I'd really like to. I think he has a really interesting typing.

lamturn and Ampharos both sound like good ideas. I think a Electabuzz/Raichu would be great, but i dont think you can catch them yet.

I've have Lanturn on my Pearl right now and to be honest, I don't like him. He has horrible defense and attack stats, barely passable special defense, special attack, and speed. The only thing he has going for him really, is HP. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Lanturn has the same base stat total as Lumineon, from which I've heard is just about the most useless evolved fish Pokemon to date. Oh and thanks for the move, I'm kinda new at this. :|

Yeah, I was told that Piloswine learned Blizzard earlier than Mamoswine, (thought after some research, I now know that this isn't the case) so I kept him unevolved.

I think I'm probably just going to settle for Ampharos.

I'd stick with lanturn, I've raised both lnturn and ampharos before, but lanturn's attacking options will help your tem much more then ampharos'

I've actually been looking up the Mareep/Flaaffy/Ampharos level up moves and to tell you the truth, I'm impressed. I'm planning to get Discharge-PowerGem-SignalBeam-ThunderWave, with ThunderWave being used to soften up legendary Pokemon. As for the water, I'm thinking Floatzel, which I can get after the League is beat. I'm not really sure on his moveset though...
