OOC: Aack, sorry everyone. My internet connection has been down since last Friday...-_-
Anyway, my second character shall make her entrance right now.
IC:
Half-breed... Mizuno repeated furiously in his head as he strode down the hallways, his tail lashing fiercely behind him. Sure, I might not have horns...my tail might not be pointed, but I am still a-
"Oof!"
The half-demon suddenly came into contact with something quite solid, something that apparently hadn't been expecting the collision any more than he had.
"Watch where you're going!" Mizuno growled, forgetting his manners in his irritation.
"Look who's talking." the person in front of him, a female angel slightly shorter than him, replied in an icily cold voice. In stark contrast to Mizuno, this angel's entire persona seemed to exhude order and regulation, all the way from her creasless and spotlessly clean clothes and her completely even snow-white wings to her perfectly ordered blonde hair, tied up into a completely even ponytail which seemed to take some kind of internal pride in hanging down dead straight, and the pair of clear reading glasses perched over her nose, which was also, quite suitably, located dead center. The female had apparently been immersed in the thick tome she was now holding in her right hand and hadn't been prepared for a half-demon charging in from the sidelines, which was why the two were now locked into a glaring match, their identical light blue eyes glowing fiercely.
What's wrong with him, anyway? the angel thought, casting an inquisitive glance at Mizuno, slightly annoyed by the fact that there seemed to be absolutely nothing ordered about him. His clothes were all worn and faded, his pitch-black tail was lashing about in completely paternless motions, even his hair seemed to be spiting order, standing ever so slightly messed as it was. And judging by the lack of point in his tail and his light blue eyes not even his genepool was ordered. The eyes... she thought for herself, there was something hauntingly familiar about them. And that half-moon pendant...the angel's hand subconsciously travelling to her own sun-shaped one.
"I was just standing here and reading." the Angel continued, guiltily removing her hand from the accesory and dragging her mind away from her speculations about the male, focusing her mind on the present situation instead. Granted, she hadn't been paying much attention to her surroundings, and granted, she had been slowly walking while she studied. But it was still the half-demon's fault. "And then you saw fit to stampede over me." she concluded, fixing Mizuno with another fierce glare.
The half-demon didn't reply at first, although his tail began moving in a significantly different pattern, almost seeming apologetic, and the dangerous spark in his eyes died down. This angel was right, it was his fault, but it didn't excuse her tone. "For your information-" Mizuno began, only to be cut of mid-sentence by the intervention of a third person.
"Oh my word, what is going on here?"
Both Quina and Mizuno turned around as a member of the teaching staff, more precisely; a rather eccentric, if good natured, half-angel with curly blonde hair and a peculiar mixture of demonic and angelic features, including a pair of angelic wings and a tail not too different from Mizuno's, came striding towards them.
"Oh, proffessor Fairlight..." Quina began, straightening her pose slightly "You see, the situation is-"
"Why Quina..." the teacher interrupted, smiling warmly at both Mizuno and the angel "Are you with this handsome young man?"
"Wha-?" Quina took a step back, caught of guard by Proffessor Fairlight's comment. Mizuno did something of the sort as well, although he kept quiet. "No, it's not like that." the angel protested, shaking her head vigorously "You see, the thing is. I was just studying her when he-"
"Oh, I haven't gone and embarassed you now, have I?" Proffessor Fairlight asked, looking at the two of them and giving them a 'knowing' smile, adding to their combined embarassment. "You'll have to excuse me." she said, chuckling slightly "My foot does happen to be on somewhat intimate terms with my mouth I'm afraid. Well, I won't bother you two anymore. But I will see you in class!"
With that, the half-angel turned around and gave the two of them a cheerfull wave, dissapearing down the hall and leaving Quina and Mizuno in a very awkward state of silence.
"Is she always..?" Mizuno began after a while.
"Yes she is..." Quina replied quietly.
"And she was..."
"Proffessor Fairlight, Racial Sensitivity..."
"That's..."
"Obligatory, yes..."
There was another awkward pause.
"Listen..." Mizuno began once more, "I'm sorry...about, you know..."
"Yes, well..." Quina replied, her voice regaining its previous calm "I suppose it's alright. Just don't make a habit of it. But I will really have to get back to studying." she gestured at the tome in her hand.
"Oh yes, of course." the half-demon replied, continuing to walk down the hall as Quina immersed herself in her tome once more.
