Pokémon Black & White got 41 new abilities. Which are your favorites?
Have you taken a look at Dream World's hidden abilities? There's some abilities that you should see and some that at least I can't understand. Some that I could point out are Blaziken with Speed Boost (yay), Caterpie with Run Away (xD) and Seaking with Lightningrod (laughed at this a while before I saw that ability has changed so it's immune to Electric moves).

Gardevoir's dream world ability is awesome!
(prevents team mates from dealing with damage in double or triple battles)

Seaking with Lightningrod made me laugh too

While I was disappointed by Gallade's DW ability in Analyze, I'm happy about some Pokemon benefitting from their DW abilities, like Chandelure and Venusaur.

My favorite Gen V ability is Moxie because you get stronger and stronger as you KO Pokemon left and right.

Chandelure's ability has been banned from standard play; Well Chandelure with Shadow Tag is no longer in OU its Uber ~

Aaaah, I didn't think that had been made official yet? :( I suppose that was inevitable.

I saw on Serebii.net that Cloyster is getting Skill Link, and I love that! I've always had a liking towards Cloyster and now this will give me a good reason to use it.

The fact that Politoed and Ninetales have Drizzle and Drought is a very good thing; it's boosted the metagame with Sun and Rain teams.

Chandelure's ability has been banned from standard play; Well Chandelure with Shadow Tag is no longer in OU its Uber ~

I was thinking about making a rain team because of those changes. It makes it much easier to just get rain on the spot. Chandelure with Shadow Tag is awesome, except I use only a few Ubers, and mostly fight OU or UU.

Why you people don't use Pokemon Online is beyond me; Build to your hearts content, I mean with Venusaur getting Chlorophyll it's a beast, and with Growth giving +2 in attack and Special attack, anyway enough with the competitve side of thangs ~

I love that Slaking didn't get a new ability; muh favz monkeh going to Uber wouldn't be fun u_u

At the moment the DW abilities do sound pretty awesome, they'll add a whole new dimension to battling and they could make pokemon that were once considered pretty useless, a lot better.

Personally I like the DW abilities Ninetales and Politoed will be getting, I've never tried to create a weather team but I may have to in this game :D

Dream World Abilities in the wild?

I dont know if anyone else has encountered this but i was training my serperior& sturdy always gets in the way when it comes to boldore, but there was this once that i got a 1hko with leaf blade, so thats gotta mean it didnt have sturdy, cuz sturdy ALWAYS kicks in, so does anyone else think its a tiny chance that you can encounter pokemon with their dream world abilities in the wild?

Merged here instead of simple questions cause it relates best to this thread imo.

Serperior: Contrary: Moves used on the Pokémon that raise stats lower the stats, while the moves that lower the stats raise the stat.

Leaf Storm: Attack of 140. Lowers special attack two stages when used.

With Contrary, Leaf Storm raises it two special attack levels.

    Oh my! That is scary!
I have to keep that in mind

um no thats an added effect. It has to be an attack used ON HIM, like leer

actually your the one in wrong, it effects ALL stat changes, so leaf storm DOES increase special attack on serperior

Bulbapedia disagrees with you. That's one reason why I didn't start with Snivy, I plan to catch a Snivy in the dream world for that ability.

:O that makes Serperior quite lethal, combined with his high speed

    Let's see now...

    Technician Breloom:bandit:
Especially with bullet seed (power raised to 25)

As the for the new abilities, I like Sheer Force, not only does it increase damage, it also negates Life orb recoil damage,
    Bulbapedia said:
If a Pokémon with Sheer Force is holding a Life Orb and uses an attack that would be boosted by Sheer Force, then the move gains both boosts but the user does not receive the Life Orb recoil damage.
Combine this with hard hitting Pokemon like Braviary or Feraligatr, and you got a choice bander, without the choice =D

Moxie so far is my favorite new ability, love the stat raising after knocking out a Pokemon. Sheer Force is another great one!

As for Dream World abilities... Charizard with Solar Power is going to be shweet and actually makes it useful now!

I've wanted Sandile since he was announced because of Moxie (which was announced at the same time!).

The same goes for Mummy and Cofragrius.
