Confirmed and ancient for serious players:
    Yata-Garasu
    Delinquent Duo
    Raigeki
    Harpie's Feather Duster
    Imperial Order
    Cyber Jar
    Fiber Jar
    Injection Fairy Lily

    Rumors:
    (Mystical Space Typhoon)
(Chaos Emperior Dragon- Envoy blah blah...)
(Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest)

Just wondering if I missed anything in the list?

I'm not sure if Mystical Space Typhoon also got kicked out of the window, as gamefaqs is whining a lot about "need MST replacement" blah blah blah.

CED got rumored to be banned soon as well...

Sangan and Witch made its way to the rumor section because once again, some forum people are whining about "what? no more searchers?"

Yes... anyone confirm all of these?

So what does this ban mean?

Everybody go pull out those lava golems and gravekeepers =p

This ban list is both good and bad for me. It is good for me because I am using BLS-EotB and Change of Heart in my deck, and I was never able to get cards like CED, Mirror Force, and Raigeki. Oh, and I just got a Tribe-Infecting Virus yesterday. :P It is bad for me too because I was using Monster Reborn and Dark Hole in my deck. In the end, this ban list will make people work harder on making decks, and they will be more creative and won't make so many cookie-cutter decks. Chaos decks will begin to disappear because of CED getting banned too, which is a good thing. I think some people will still use them though, because BLS is only restricted.

Well most cards in the banned list is a "staple" for any deck pretty much... what kinda deck do you have if it doesn't have monster reborn?

But it's strange to me how Mage Power lives while United We Stand got banned.

Why Fiber Jar... now those battles will last on forever and ever until we have grandchildren once again (for those who want to have a child that is)

Also rather strange to see Jinzo living... without Raigeki and Dark Hole to kill it, and without MST, Imperial Order, and Harpie Feather Duster, Jinzo will be even stronger and more useful in any deck... strange...

I actually think their second batch of bans will make certain cards much more powerful (like you said, Jinzo). Cards like MST I thought shouldn't have been banned tho. It's just 1-1 tradeoff (what? we use disenchant and naturalize like everyone else in magic and we don't see them getting banned. just saying, those two cards are magic's version of MST). If it was heavy storm getting the boot, I can understand...

And i don't understand how Change moves BACK to the restricted list. It's still too efficient as a removal card to be used in tourneys...

Change of Heart getting unbanned is TERRIBLE ;_; If a card can be used to assist in tribute summon, and to remove defenses, it's definitely overpowered. Not to mention that change of heart is instant and has no LP cost or anything... Broken!

I still don't get it... how can Upstart Goblin and Pot of Greed get into the same category? Either Pot of Greed dies, or Upstart Goblin has no more limits (it's just one card, and it got a penalty too, unlike Pot of Greed's 2 card draw at no cost).

Exodia decks will also get a chance to strike back, as some of their archrivals got banned and they remain alive. True that they also get weakened because WotBF and Sangan, along with graceful charity are gone, but there's still painful choice and so on... evil.

Field card dependent decks are SO powerful now (on top of my head, gravekeepers). Without MST and feather duster to destroy the field card, it'll be there for quite awhile making gravekeepers very strong.

I guess that everyone will have to rely on Dust Tornadoes to replace MST...?

Heavy Storm was always part of the setup already. Originally, every deck of 40 has 5 cards to counter traps and continous magic- harpie feather duster, heavy storm, and 3 MST. Now it's down to Dust Tornadoes and Heavy Storm, that kinda stuff.

Same for everyone else, but it's not like you have a choice now to choose which one you want to use... Who doesn't like an instant play magic card over a trap card?

And just wondering... are Cyber Jar and Torrential Tribute the last 2 cards alive that can mass-destroy monsters without being a monster card whose lvl is 5 or more?

The bans are going to be optional. They have stated that long ago.

Yes you are correct. I hate Cyber Jar even if I'm using him.

So instead of being screwed over by then, shouldn't a player think of ways to adapt to the new ban that's coming up while there's still time? Also, now's a good time to sell off the banned cards while they're still gold as their playability will only last for another month or so...

Plus a lot of this looks like guessing to me. :\ we only know so many confirmed cards. And I see no reason to sell off perfectly good cards.there is still free play after all,a nd you can't be held by tournament sanctionings when yuor not ina tournament.

Mor have deen confirmed they will change the list sometimes. So it is not guessing. Someone had a list when I went to a recent tourney.
