4th Gen new DP News

I dont mind the name Rowan but Twinleaf sounds... well strange for a town. Pallet, New Bark and Littleroot were okay but there's something about Twinleaf...

Haha, I could picture that. When I first saw Regigigas, I originally thought it was a Grass pokemon (and the name "gigas" reminded me of grass... you know, like giga drain??). Then I found out it was Normal. That's a pretty strange looking normal.

I'm assuming it's a Legendary, but what kind of Legendary is of the normal type? All of the Legendaries out there are of specialized types; Psychic (most common), Dragon (second most common), and then ice, electric, water, etc. A "normal" legendary is just plain weird.

You obviously haven't seen Alseus yet. :P

It seems strange at first, but you'll probably just be 'whatever' when you actually play the game.

:F That always seems to happen with me. News is controversial :D

The thing is though... if they can update Pokemon D/P's town and Prof., why haven't they given us the Manaphy info? :P

Lazy GameFreak :D

Maybe we should make a poll about what do you think about Twinleaf Town, because a lot of people (myself included, for a bit) think more about it than Prof. Rowan.

Meh. :D

I cant believe they have named a professor Rowan i dont really think it suits a name for a professor. In the previous regions with the professors i have only liked Birch for some reason Oak was okay and Elm i couldnt stand, but Rowan whatever next! As for the towname Twinleaf town well i supposse i could live with it . . .

If you really stretch it, it hints at the two leaves of a sprout.

i don't see what's wrong with rowan. all the professor's are named after trees, and seriously, rowan sounds like the most reasonable name i've heard so far.

I really don't think Twinleaf is so terrible....it does sound kinda weird, but I can get used to it...and I actually kinda like 'Prof. Rowan'...

Er, don't mind me :P

I wonder why they're named after trees, there's got to be some reason. What next, professor teak? professor Pine?

If they came up with Rowan then it means they're researching a bit farther into tree names then just Oak and Birch. Rowan was something I didn't see coming {Also the fact that I've never heard of it before up to this point}

I'm kind of iffy on the name Twin Leaf, but I'm not totally disappointed with it. I actually like the new professors name though. I'm not sure yet, but it may be my favorite.

I don't think that would ever happen. XD Everytime someone says something about him I would think about Maple syrup.

TwinLeaf... TwinLeaf... I actually like it!!
U see, they all hav sumfing to do wif a tree:

NewBark: uuh, a New Bark?
LittleRoot: aam.. A Little Root? I really think Littleroot should be Littleroute though!!
Twinleaf: UUh, A Siamese Leaf?

Umm.. I dont know. I dont think I am getting the English version so.. yeah but I know what you mean, the names are pretty much meaningless ingame.

A quote from the Pokemon website. Is anyone else actually liking this more than the Japanese version?

Um, what?

This is more of a discussion on Prof. Rowan, which I don't really mind, and Twinleaf, which comes from an onion, not a Siamese tree, from what I know of Wikipedia.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand, and is old news. Sorry about that~

I'll probably be interested in the game, as long as they don't eff up the actual gameplay so that the graphics and stuff is horribly mutilated, and when you get outside the house, you get glitchified :D

Seriously, that's a bigger problem than Twinleaf. Also, they still have the All Names are Tentative sign at the bottom of the Pokemon website, as well as a minor redesign logos. Another change, perhaps?

Erm, sorry about that. I haven't been here in a while, so I didn't hear about the Manaphy thing.

Anyway, I like the new names. They seem to fit very well!

Twinleaf? Well, they could've done worse. It's not that bad really, because I never really gave a flying fig about town or city names. I'm concerned with the Pokemon's names.
