New FR/LG Monotype Challenge

[Roughsponge]

-Okay, caught a few pokemon since the last update: a shellder, horsea and poliwag.
I had to train them all up a LOT though (with the help of my trusty Vs. Seeker).
-Firstly Poliwag evolved into poliwhirl, then into poliwrath; then horsea evolved into Seadra and finally I evolved Shellder into Cloyster.
-Battled my way through cycling road, which was tougher than expected because I kept getting poisoned, what a pain.
-Went through the safari zone to get surf for my water buddies before I face the fushia gym.

Current team before the 5th gym:
Wartortle (level 35) - Surf / Mega punch / Bite / Dig
Gyarados (level 35) - Surf / Flamethrower / Bite / Thrash
Seadra (level 36) - Watergun / Surf / Twister
Poliwrath (level 35) - Brick break / Submission / Watergun / Body slam
Cloyster (level 35) -Tackle / Surf / Aurora beam

Spoiler:

Gamesharked a level 5 Drowzee as starter pokemon since Abra only knows Teleport till level 16.
Trained him to level 12 so he learned Confusion and then beat Brock for my first badge.

Went through Mt. Moon, picked up a Helix Fossil.

Entered Cerulean City and took on the Nugget Bridge. Drowzee got to level 26 this way and evolved into Hypno.
Also picked up two Abra's; One to level for Kadabra and another to trade in for a Mr. Mime once i get back to Road 2.

Current state of affairs:
Hypno lvl. 28
Kadabra lvl. 16

1 badge, getting ready for the second.

No, its never too late to join, and yes, you may use an emulator. I know I prefer it for the space bar.

Didn't get an aweful lot done yet, but I think it'll do for now.

Day #1 Update
-Chose Bulbasaur as my starter Pokémon, and leveled him to 15.
-Cleared through Viridian Forest, and beat the Pewter Gym.
-Caught a Paras in Mt. Moon, and went back to Viridian City to level it.
-Leveled Paras to level 12.

I didn't get further then this yet, mainly because Paras required a lot of exp... I hope won't continue to need this much to level up, or else it's going to be a drag.

Okay I'm a little further on now :) Not a big update but still:

-Trained a little more by beating all the trainers to the right of fushia to gain more exp.
-Beat the fushia gym fairly easily with Blastoise and cloyster.
-Went back to Vermilion city to face Lt Surge and mauled him easily with Seadra using surf.

Now I'm on my way to beat Sabrina ;)

Update time :)

-Okay forgot that I still had to do the whole silph co. fiasco so I beat all of the rockets.
-Had to face Blue while in there, and I beat him fairly easily.
-Went to the fighting dojo place and KO'd all the kung-fu freaks in there, and picked hitmonlee just for kicks. (Get it ;).. Yup I am that lame.)
-Beat all the trainers in sabrinas gym, with their physcic abilities failing them.
-Had a face off with Sabrina herself, and Cloyster and Blastoise beat all of them quite easily :)

Current team:
Blastoise - level 44
Seadra - level 44
Poliwrath - level 44
Cloyster - level 43
Gyarados - level 44

Now on my way to Cinnabar island..

I'll do it since my DS doesnt work for my Diamond challenge (for now)... I'll be picking the Dragon type (nothing like the Indestructible Dragons!)
I also decided to create a Fire Red version where u get National Dex before having to defeat Elite 4 and catching 60 pokemon. To help out people who want to evolve pokemon from 2nd and 3rd gen pokes.
