    Has anyone heard about an upcoming prequel to GSC??
     
    No such thing is confirmed, Infact, I have heard no such rumours either.

    If you've heard a rumour, mind posting the source for us? Its pretty much a waste of space you posting a topic based on nothing for all we know.

    There was rumours early last year of it appearing but like most rumours, turned out false.

    According to this, there have been hints about Gold and Silver remakes, including the apparent inclusion of Johto data for Pokemon Location (see the image within the article). Although this could of been done with some editing (Im not sure how far Diamond and Pearl hacking has reached, but its possible), it could mean there might be an official Pokemon Gold and Silver remake.

    A PREQUEL? That's RBY, three years pre-GSC to be precise. This thread'll get closed along with everything else containing the words "GSC" and something to do with a new game.
     
    I hope there is one, i would have much rater had a remake of GSC than FireRed and LeafGreen

    Prequel? Totally missed that, curse my skimming, I only picked up he was talking about a new GSC, god knows where he heard this.

    I hope this thread is left open just incase this user has some decent info, but looking at his posts, I seriously doubt it.

    If you had said a Red and Blue remake, it'd fit in with the format you spoke of the GSC remakes.

    Moving on..
    As PokeSav has shown me, Johto data does indeed exist in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, this can mean either what we're discussing about, Pokemon Gold and Silver are in the works, being considered (After all, it may of been added in just incase it gets made, I havent seen any location data that doesnt specify the region), or there may of been one in the works for GBA and when the data was being made for Diamond and Pearl, was put in anyways.

    If Pokemon Gold and Silver were to be made for the DS, how true will it stay to the original and what extra features could it hold? If it used the same graphics as DP, would it be able to fit in both Johto and Kanto?(This seems likely, as many games for DS are now on a gigabit cart, whilst the Japanese releases were on those carts, they were nearly small enough to fit on the previous cart)

    I cant believe im trying to continue this discussion, it was born from failure..

    Its a fan-made game, so I'm presuming hack or something more advance, its not official.

    Well nothing is true about making g/s/c remakes, so I say its rumors and its fake, but It would of been nice if they did remade those games on the DS and have wi-fi features. :)

    Just because there was a misunderstanding doesn't give you the right to talk to other members in such a rude way - whether you like it or not, you are required to respect your fellow members. Please keep this in mind in the future.
     
    I hope they do remake the G/S/C, it was my favourite generation =)

    is leafgreen/firered just like R/B/Y? but better?

    It's like red/blue but with way better graphics and some extra stuff/features/missions.
    But yeah, same stuff pretty much.

    Too bad they didn't do a remake of yellow.

    i relly enjoyed yellow cos u could've gotten all starters without trading =)
     
    they should make remakes of yellow , gold , silver and crystal but not ruby or anything i loved the 1st pokemon games they were simple i just started playing pokemon yellow again 2 days ago and its so fun my quest is to complete red,blue,yellow,gold,silver,crystal,ruby,saphire,emerald,mystery dungeon,pearl,diamond
    soz its a bit off topic but it seems fake but i hope they bring one out soon
     
    crystal was kinda the same as gold/silver ryt? (never played it)
    they should remake crystal but u start the game without one of the normal 3 starters instead have a pokemon like picachu
