I've some experience with forum websites, and I've even more with pokemon. I figured, with the new generation, I should get acquainted with a larger audience of fans. it seems as though local friends haven't as much interest anymore, so I'm looking forward to connecting with other like-minded people. I'm pretty sure you will get pretty acquainted with the fandom here...especially with the newer generation around! It's lovely to see you here. Assuming you have the newer games, it makes things a lot easier if you ever want to trade, battle, or just plain interact with others.

Like the girls above me mentioned, you'll get well acquainted with the fandom here at PC due to the recent release of X and Y. But no matter what kind of Pokemon fan you are you will fit in just fine since we have fans from each different aspect of Pokemon. I've been a fan myself for almost 15 years come next year, and 10 years so far playing Pokemon games.
