New PokeDex - the PPNDex

    Ok I've finally got the new pokedex up and running on PPN.
    Now I need for you all to comment on it, give suggestions, requests, and bug reports.. (yes, we are aware of some link/text color issues)

    The new dex can be found at: *pokemonpalace link removed*

    Tell me what you think, etc. here or thru PM, email or AIM

    Note: We will be looking for a couple of new staff members who can help edit and/or add info as needed (the dex is fully editable thru a user logon)
    So keep that in mind.

    Coming soon, intergration with the episode guide and maybe even something much, much cooler...
     
    I know my mouse is a little funky, but it was really hard to get it to get in the right spot so that I could click a link...

    And in the TM/HM area you have "R/B/Y" and "G/S" - shouldn't it be "G/S/C"?

    heh took a lot of work both coding and gathering data.... it's almost complete now.. just some missing data to add + any newly discovered Pokemon..

    anyway, if you have any of the data we're missing or what to help out, let me know.
     
    Nice dex. It lacks info (for now) but it looks alot cleaner than other Pokedexs.
     
    It has to be the easiest to look through out of all the big ones I've seen. I see it is not complete yet (I only looked at two entries so far).

    Wobbufett can be found in the Safari Zone (SE & SW I believe) in Ruby/Sapphire (and somewhere on Mystery Islands in FRLG as well I think), and Wynaut can be found on Mirage Island and from the egg the lady gives you in Lavaridge Town.

    Yep those were the two I looked at.

    Edit: Upon checking other entries it seems none of the Pokemon have Ru/Sa/FR/LG locations ^.^;;

    As I told you on IRC, it is a very nice dex...one which has me panicing and trying to think of ways to improve mine to beat it :p

    Yeah it seems a bunch were left out.. maybe i use the excuse that i wanted to get some staffers fimailar with editing it, lol..

    All is easy to add / edit - so post data thats missing... specially locations..

    It looks really good! Uh... I think I'm just going to forget the planned Pok?dex on TPP completely, because yours are too good. Hrrumph. *pulls out VB6 and starts coding a downloadable dex instead*
     
    AHHHHHH a downloadable one... been looking for one since TPM's vanished when their site died (and it was out of date anyways..)

    It wouldn't be too terribly difficult to place the information in a small C++ or even VB program that you could download.
     
    i accually have part of the GUI designed (thru vb) but want to make it much more 'game' like.. i need to learn c++ thats all there is to it.

    You know there is a program that let's you create games without even knowing C++ They have there own forums that you can get help on. It probably wouldn't be that hard to create a Pokedex here's the URL: gamemaker.nl
    I've found good examples on Pokemon Games, etc. (I've even found a CD Player created by it).
     
    Game Maker annoys me. Not the best thing to use for this kinda app. I'm a Visual Basic programmer, have been using it since I was 11 so I'm used to it by now ^^.
