Even though I think this game is looking bad.

I've noticed a few sprites for old pokes that look fantastic.

these are the ones that caught my eye:

so even though I think most of the new pokemon's sprites look bad.
I think the new sprites old pokemon are great.

    What do you think?

the hypno sprite finally looks good. for the past 3 generations, hypno has been an awesome pokemon, but has had the worst sprites, and now, i am finally satisfied.

    the starmie sprite looks horrible.

eevee and all of it's evolutions' sprites look quite strange. espeon doesn't look so cute anymore =/

    that dragonite sprite looks horrible.

the xatu sprite is so awesome. i can't wait to use my xatu in D/P.

    the sceptile sprite is awesome.

ludicoolo looks like a wimp =/

is it just me, or is milotic's sprite a little over the top? it isn't even that big ._.

    that's my useless commentary XD

They look pretty good. I mean, it's not that hard to recolor and all of that other good stuff. But yes, I agree that they do look good redone.

I just loove Milotic now!! Gonna train my febas up SO Hard! He wont know what hit her!!!
Shiftry looks like it will pwn any Fighting pokemon that comes in it's way!
and is this not pwnful?*pokemonelite2000 image removed*
and zangoose looks like a midget from r/s/e

meh, they're all good. But Dialga looks to me like its standing on A sloping floor.

Well, I do like the D/P sprites for most of the Pokemon, especially Charizard, Pikachu, Aerodactyl, Articuno and Lugia. However, some like Espeon are not too good as Espeon's sprite is too small and weird-looking!

Actually, I kind of like the colors of the new sprites.
    They seem....brighter?

yah the lighting is much more ample. in D/P, the colors stretch out a lot more than those in any of the other games. that's what i like about them because it's how i'm used to spriting.

I think the newest sprites, especially the ones for older pokemon, definitely have a bit more personality to them than before. Not since 2nd gen have I liked the in-game sprites this much; I think the simpler shading fits pokemon better than how shading was handled in 3rd gen (which is my least favorite set of sprites).

Plus not using as many values for shading does allow for usage of more unique colors, which I like.

I don't think the 4th gen pokemon sprites look that bad, though sometimes you just can't make anything out of it. (Yukimenoko)

But the older pokemon definately got spiced up, I like the style of D/P. (like the brighter colouring)

The game isn't looking bad, it looks great, but anyways I like how Venusaur looks and Gengar they look a whole lot better

I like the D/P Sprites, I love the Flareon sprite!

I Love the Blaziken Sprite it makes it look alot more like a fighting type

They could have done better with Dragonite. but most of the 3rd Gen pokemon look almost the same apart from better colours

The best sprite(s) I find amuzing iz Rayquaza
