Hello there,
To start I want to say: I'm in love with the game. I'm playing through a Nuzlocke and the suffering that has brought on is devastating, of course, (lost 5 so far this run, only just defeated Misty currently, lost a whole run previously) and this is likely in the top 3 of my favorite experiences with Pokemon in general. There's only one hiccup that keeps slowing me down: a bug that has been relatively squashed in most cases.
In several maps (Viridian Forest, the side entrance of the Pokemon Museum in Pewter City, Route 9, the route leading to Mt. Moon, the rooms on the SS. Anne, & several other maps) do not render, or rather, another layer is rendering as opaque (black) as opposed to transparent. I've deleted and reinstalled the game, renamed the folder to "InfiniteFusion" & ran it as admin to avoid any permissions issues, though I realize now that this wouldn't be the cause. Leaving a battle draws the map as I would anticipate; however, travel does not. The transition happens as anticipated upon leaving the doorways (it usually seems to occur when leaving an interior for an exterior or an exterior for an interior with the exception of the SS. Anne) and leaving/returning does not correct this issue as mentioned in previous troubleshooting posts/messages.
Saving/quitting, then resuming also corrects this behavior.

I'm running version 5.0.36-2 on Windows 10 (64-bit) with Intel HD 4000 internal graphics. I've updated to the latest driver. The more I think about it, the less likely that this is a rain/fog/transparency issue and more something in the map update script which isn't triggering for whatever reason. I don't have any Custom Battlers and the install is a clean one from the in-thread link with no changes whatsoever.
How would you/the thread advise I proceed to try to correct this?
Thank you for reading,
