    New Year's Sprite Edit Competition!

    Hosted and Judged by dragonite149 and Sammyskitty

    So you think you have the skills to make the best New Year's/Winter themed sprite? Well then this event is just for you! Here you can enter your own edited sprite and have it judged. First, Second, and Third place winners will receive an emblem and all participators will receive one as well.
    ​

    Rules

    1. In order for the sprite to qualify for this event, it must be New Year's or Winter related. You must also provide an explanation on why it is New Year's or Winter related.
    2. All entries must be your own work. That means, no stealing or ordering from a sprite shop.
    3. You may not enter with alternate accounts.
    4. No scratch sprites-only edits (A scratch sprite is a sprite you make from scratch. You have nothing to work from, apart from an idea of what you're going to make.)
    5. You may not use previously made sprites, but you can reuse the idea for the sprite.
    6. The maximum size of the sprite cannot be larger than 100 x 100.

    December 29th to December 31st: Entry Submission
    January 1st: Judging
    January 2nd: Results will be announced

    Just so I'm clear, it has to be a pokemon-related sprite, right?

    I'm gonna join anyways, I just need to think of a good idea. XD

    Why it is New Year's or Winter Related:     Well, it's a Christmas tree Pokemon! That's how it's winter themed. ;)
    Parts You Used to Edit: Base Sprite: Abomasnow. Star at Top: Jirachi. Palette: Just random colors, some of Abomasnow's main palette, though.

    Why it is New Year's or Winter related: Since every end of the year, my family and I shoot out some amazing fireworks during the countdown towards the new year. At the strike of midnight, the sky illuminates as a rainbow, with colors representing the New Year.
    Parts you used to edit: Base - Moltres, Palette: Blue, Silver, Gold, Green, Pink, Red (New Years' colors) recolored Moltres' flames only.

    .png is preferred but as long as it is an image, then it will be accepted if it follows all other rules
     
    Are we by any chance allowed to scratch parts of the edit? For instance, I may be doing a sort of snowman, could I scratch twigs, etc?

    Why it is New Year's or Winter related: I hope I don't need to explain why Father Christmas is related to Winter.

    Parts you used to edit: Tsunbear's full sprite, various segmented parts of Kumasyun's sprite and a palette that varies between using Tsunbear's original colours and some new ones.

    Why it is New Year's or Winter related: Ham is a traditional Christmas meal in some cultures.

    Parts you used to edit: Tepig's full sprite, along with some sprite parts for the closed eye.

    Hey mate, you're pretty darn quick, but just recently after I posted I edited my work a little bit, so the links have changed.
