We don't have the death penalty here and we will not change that. New Zealand has abandoned many of its supposed core values over the last three decades, but our belief in the inhumane nature of capital punishment is not one of them. They can hang themselves in prison for all I care for their wellbeing, but we're supposed to be better than them and we won't let desires for vengeance give them the satisfaction they crave.
