NFC - Nintendo Fan Club

Ok, Trikip, let me explain you... many things can get online now wireless... like computers... they search and find a wireless Wi-Fi internet connection and log on. Now... some houses like mine can buy a wireless internet connection, and now I can get online everywhere I want inside my house. A hotspot is just what I told you... a place with wireless internet connection where you can log online , like I already said, in a wireless way; but in public places like restaurants, cafe's, etc.

Heh, I barely convinced my dad into getting DSL. No way hes gonna get Wi-Fi, I'm just gonna have to wait until the USB connection-thing comes out. :cheeky:

Wow, I haven't been here in a while.

Oh well, what else do you guys think you can do with that remote controller thing?

Well I think it can do lots of things. I mean the touch screen opened up lots of ideas. This really isn't any different. Just from that movie thing shown at the TGS you can shoot with it, swing a sword, play drums or something like that, fish, and other stuff was also on that movie.
I think most of all FPS will be really really great with it. Shooting with the remote is something I really want to do.

I think you could also... draw... you know... maybe there will be another Animal Crossing game and you are infront of a blackboard and you have to draw!!! I will draw an "N" for Nintendo XD. I guess you will be able to do almost most of the things you can do with your hands and an instrument ((any kind of thing you can use with your hands)).

Bad News: Gamecube Sales are done (according to the latest sale results)

Good News: Gamecube is now only $99 =) (with the XD Bundle)

A hotspot is a place that has wireless internet (most of the time you got to pay), places like coffee shops, libraries, some hotels etc. You can bring your laptop and you can get on the internet in them places.
Nintendo and GameSpy are getting together and they will have hotspots of their own. In them places you will be able to play their games online. You can also do this if you have one of them Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connections.

That's pretty nifty. Oh, and shot in the dark here, don't want to sound like a n00b, which I'm not, seriously, do you know about the on-line capibilities of the DS are? Will it also have Wi-Fi?

Ok you guys~ I need help.

We're considering a cable broadband connection, but we don't have cable installed at our house =/ Do we actually need a cable service...or is run through the cable modem? I don't understand what we need to get in order to get cable high speed internet ;~;

If you're wondering how this relates to Nintendo, it's because then I could buy one of those USB things X3;

=P I'm sure DS can go online, Andy and someone said they could.

For you by the way, high speed internet, as in my ADSL line kind of needs this cable modem. The Nintendo USB will only work at hotspots I believe.

I thought it plugs in to the USB port of a computer with an internet connection........infact im sure that's what it does......
We will see when it comes out anyway ^_^

I don't think you understand XD

And Newten, it'll only work with a high-speed connection.

I think you got to buy that little USB Wi-Fi thing (it's on the page before this one or the page before that one). But I'm still not 100% sure if you got to have it or you can use wireless internet and it will work the same. O_o

This is just a guess here, you might find out better by asking your ISP.
But I think with Cable you have to have a cable line installed in your house (again I'm not really sure about this). We had DSL and all they had to do is put in a new phone line (if you got one that you're not using then they can use that), they gave us the DSL modem box thing and we had DSL.

If you got broadband on your computer then I think it's kind of like a Wireless Router for your DS. You don't have to be in a Hot-Spot to use it.

o_o; So eh, if you have a DS, and a computer with internet, and plug the USB thing into the computer and switch on the DS, we can go online with it?

I wonder how the internet looks with two screens. Megaman style.

Man... sometimes I hate myself... I bought the DS when it came out... and the worst of all... is that... as time passes... some new things come out. I just remembered there was Electric Blue-colored DS!!! thanks to a magazine I have infront of my face... ((yes... I can type without looking at the keyboard))... man... I love electric blue!!! I HATE MYSELF!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!.

Hmmm... I didn't think about it... internet in two screens?... cool... I guess the sites, pages will take both screens, but centered... then the options like scrolling the page or other stuff will be in the lower screen but at the sides... but... to select something... like... for example: PC profiles... I think you have to scroll the thing you want to click to the lower screen and then click it with the stylus.

Hang on....who said it would be able to go onto websites? The USB thing is to play against other people in the world. I don't think you can go on websites with it.

Where do you get the USB thing?

It hasn't come out yet... it will come out in november... and you will buy it in stores... you will find it where you bought your DS. Hey Newten5... it HAS to get into websites... why to play against other players? it already can do it... that's what we have talked about the last pages... and if you are so sure because you read about it... where did you find it?
