Well the GameBoy Pocket was the same as the first GameBoy. It was just better and smaller then the first. Same with the GBA, you got the first GBA, but you also got the SP and now the Micro. The Pocket, SP and Micro never played different games then their predecessors, but they are still GameBoys.

Yup... that's all true. Thing is, I wonder what the GBE will do, if there is one.
Attachment joysticks, arm attachments, visionary sensors.. and a lot of random things. Oh, and one to hold the GBE to your left arm like a Comms Device. If we got things like that, we could play Unreal Tournament as LONG and WHEREVER we wanted. =3

*explodes* What?? GC Games in the GB! Man, that'd be awesome! I can play Rockman Command mission on the top of a mountain then. Portable reploids!

*goes hyper* Wow..

I'm sure everyone back in the N64 days thought it'd be strange to play N64 games on a hand held. But now look, the DS is as good as the N64 and it's a hand held.

IMO I'd like it better if they just made a hand held that played GC games and then go on with the GameBoy (two different hand helds).

If we take a quick look into the Gameboy (includes DS) history, we can see how it evolves.

Gameboy
-GB Pocket
-GB Mini
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
- GBA SP
- GBA Micro
Gameboy Dual Screen

Meh... things came out from old school arcades, to colored things, then into more advanced color things. Then some 64 bit graphics on a handheld. >_< Not a very happy evolution is it, when the PSP pwns the DS graphically?

Yeah I know games are important, but wouldn't you rather play it in cool graphics?

*sighs and wacks Andy in the head XD*

GBE, will like you said Andrew probably play GCN games. I believe Nintendo was thinking ahead when they made the discs ultra small (could fit in a compact GBE ;P)

I believe, that is why Nintendo is not worried about the PSP. They have the DS for the hardcore gamers, and to get casual gamers they will have the GBE.

The GBE using the 'Cube's mini-discs is very far fetched~

This is Nintendo we're talking about. Do they want a portable Gamecube? Noooo...that'd be much to generic! Just porting a console onto a portable~ pah. We're definitely going to see someting smaller, and much improved.

But not a redesigned portable GCN. Sorry kids =/ If you evaluate Nintendo's work~ that's just not they way the groove. But it was a nice thought =]

Anyways~ I'm love'n AC right now X3; Dr. Shrunk visited my town, which was pretty funny XD But he taught me an expression. So now when I'm in my town with friends, or I visit someone's town...I can make my little dude do a shy face and blush ^_^; It's pretty cute~ but I wanted something a little more manly .-. Maybe like throwing a punch? ;P

*trips Paul*

Nintendo, isn't stupid.... PSP is capturing some of the market whether you want to believe it or not. And I believe the GBE is going to be used to capture that lost market share.

The Micro is a pure example of how Nintendo is branding the Gameboy brand to hip more teenage audiences. I have yet to see one of ad for the new micro with someone who wasn't a teenager or in their early 20's.

When I speculated that the GBE could play GCN I didn't mean that they would focus on it, because frankly GCN doesn't have a lot of teen geared games nor does the GCN software would have any compatibility either.

I was merely speculating on the size of the disc, and what they could do with it ;P (kind of like any new GCN game AFTER the GBE's release could be played on both formats perhaps).

Nintendo likes innovation, but as you (if you are watching properly) notice they are focusing more on the casual *hip/trendy* gamer and no longer the hardcore gamer (i.e Revolution).

Video Games to most females is like a total bore, and nothing worth their time. Same with a lot of guys who aren't really into games other than like Madden. But Nintendo wants to change this...

Just remeber by the new look of the Revolution, Nintendo is gearing all it's new systems to have resemblence in style to the iPod.

Ah.... sorry for not being here. Ok then... I have decided to buy a PSP, I think tomorrow or the day after I'm gonna buy it... I will anyway. You know... only ONE game was enough to make me want to buy it... and guess what?... it was a classic RPG. Since I started to play since.... well... I didn't start to play video-games after 5 years old... way younger. In those times where the 90s where beggining, there were a lot of classic RPGs... and man I became an RPG junkie.

Maybe you don't see the point. I try to mean that Nintendo need more RPGs than old games and gameboys. Even the gameboys are really cool ((I will never be against Nintendo)) I think that really attracts people are games. Nintendo already have a lot of games for kids or young teenagers. I may not be old, but I like more RPG games, or platforms... and maybe that's what Nintendo needs, platforms too. Ok... I maybe I talked a lot.

Maybe Nintendo should stop making gameboys, they need more new games... and they should make the Mario Party games with years now, like Mario Party 06, or something like that... they have reached 7 now... I really like it... but it is the same thing game after game.

*laughs*

Did anyone ever play the Mario RPG ;P

Anyways, back on track Nintendo should *not* stop making Gameboys because they supposely *need* more games. They believe in quality or quanity (something Sony needs to learn aswell as Microsoft).

I am sorry your actually going to buy a PSP, I got mine at 12:01 when it first came out and boy do I regret it. The battery sucks, good sound volume is something it doesn't have, and not to mention long load times.

Nintendo knows it captured the kiddy market by a long shot, and now they are going for the retro gamer (like yourself if you like old RPG's) and the casual gamer. So just wait for GBE/Rev because they are gonna be amazing.

I was going to get a 360 but now I am going to buy another DS, so I can give the one I have to my brother, and a whole bunch of GC and DS games.

Maybe you don't see the point xd. I mean that Nintendo makes very good 1st party games and they have the funnest games to play on their systems even if they are the same thing over and over. Which means (like Blaze said) quality is better than quantity.

Maybe the GBE will be VR. j/k XD

I thought I read somewhere that the GBE might be able to play GC games (not sure about that) if so then it'll be great because I can play SSBM or ToS or another one of my GC games in the car. XD

wanna know something weird? I heard that too! it was a long time ago, and I dismissed it as a false rumor, but now i'm not so sure...... and another weird thing? this was like 1 1/2 years ago, yet it looked so much like the PSP turned out, it's almost scary..... only difference was it had an analog stick(the buttons even looked like the PSP's!)..... did Sony steal nintendo's blueprints?
also, I heard it was called the Game Boy Enhanced.....

*rolls eyes* All of you misunderstood me... I'm not saying anything against Nintendo... I'm saying what Nintendo NEEDS. I love Mario Party games... and I DID play Mario RPGs... and I must say I love them, but Nintendo could attract more gamers with more new ideas... or games like Fire Emblem!... and don't be sorry because I'm gonna buy a PSP... maybe you just had bad luck. I don't care also about what other people say about me or what I'm gonna to do, be, etc... I don't believe in people's opinions nor critics... people's opinions suck to me, so save your words... people will like me or hate me for what I am... I'm never going to change.

Getting a PSP is totally up to you. But I really agree with Blaze. I got my PSP about a week after it came out (took me forever to pay it off too). I paid like 300 dollars for it (or how ever much it costed with a game). And right now it's sitting in my room collecting dust. The only hope for me to use it again is my laptop battery getting low (so I use it for an MP3 player with like 5 or 6 songs on it) or till I get a new game, or untill FFVII: AC comes out. Untill one of them, my PSP stays lonely.
I'm not trying to talk you out of getting one. I'm just saying it costs a bit, and for me I could have used that money else were (like I said, it's totally up to you).

Don't worry... for 14 years, I started to save dollars... when I decided to buy one... I counted the dollars I had... and I was surprised... I now it can cost a lot... but I actually have more than enough to buy it... don't worry, I think I will be okay. I don't want anyone else to keep tlaking about this... I saw some people disagree with me and can even hate me... so let's forget this and keep talking about the Big N? kyo? XD

Anyways, I don't know where you guys heard it was going to play GC games but I saw it on Wikipedia, just look under Gameboy.

I heard something a little different on N-sider, they say it will be a Dreamcast graphics portable that will still play cartridge based games, if I remember correctly.

I just want a good portable that is small, capable and maybe an MP3 player or SD card reader but nothing too drastic that will raise the price dramatically.

Nah, I think only lately Nintendo has worked on the GBE (I mean, nothing is known about it). And as you know Nintendo is very very tight lipped on anything that has to do with their stuff (ever since the N64 they have been that way).

Ok, for all you know you might like the PSP better then other systems (for some time I did like the PSP way more then the DS).

Nah... I don't think PSP is better... I never had favorites... I only... enjoy the games. But still... being loyal to the awesome Nintendo.
