Dunno. it could go eather way. If the PS3 is understocked like with the XBox 360, than it would REALLY help!
OT: This is the first time I've posted in about a month...
Also: What happened to your Avi Arcanine?
I also think it could go both ways. I mean I think it all comes down to the price of the PS3. Because the Rev will be lower on price. So parents might just buy that for their kid a Rev instead of getting something pricey like the PS3. I think the price could be high like $700 dollars (Sony hasn't set a price for it yet so no one knows for sure how much it'll cost). There's a Blu-Ray player out there that costs $1,000 dollars, and since the PS3 will have a Blu-Ray player you know it's going to be up there. How many kids, teens and even parents can spend $700 dollars on a game system plus like $60-70 dollars a game, and controllers and all that other stuff?
Sony made a really stupid move going with Blu-Ray. Members like Brittany go "Soon you'll have all the Final Fantasy games on one CD" and I'm sure you could have all the Final Fantasy games on 2 or 3 Blu-Ray CDs. But as I said, Blu-Ray is costly and how many here will dish out that much money for a system?
There's a lot of Sony Fanboys/girls out there like Brit, but if the PS3 costs like $700 dollars I don't think there's enough to make up for the low number of sells of the PS3.

I'm doing up a new Avy and Banner set. So I removed my old one to make way for the new one. XD

And would that mean we'll have a Stadium Wannabe game on our Rev? :3
Seeing how Nintendo did things lately with the GC I'd say it'll be an RPG. But it better talk, better be as good as Stadium/2. Pokemon Col was a let down for me, it just wasn't good like Stadium/2. PS/2 had Mini-Games, it had Free-Battle, and all sorts of other stuff. Pokemon Col had an RPG, and they did really poor on the RPG (it wasn't fun, it didn't talk, and other things).

Indeed. That'll also to a lesser extent effect how good the XBox 360 does.

I agree about Collisium. Though Jirachi was a nice perk. :D ;)

XtraDimension's story for the RPG wasn't too good either. But both XD and Colosseum were Stadium wannabe games ..

The 360 does have a head start and will have a year on top of the PS3 and Rev. The head XBox/Microsoft CEO (not Bill Gates XD. It's Steve Ballmer) was happy that the PS3 was going to be put off till November.

Jirachi was nice, if you pre-ordered the game. XD

I don't think so. I mean PS/2 was way better. But Col and XD had the whole RPG thing to them. Where PS/2 was more of a flat out battle thing. But Stadium and Stadium 2 just had sooooooo much more to it it's crazy.

Hey whats' the difference between Pokemon Colisieum and XD?
Ho-oh and Lugia. j/k XD
(Well, one does have Ho-oh and the other Lugia)

Oh yea, 16,000th post. XD

But at least Pokemon Stadium and Stadium 2 had a constant idea to work with. XD and COL are like, a bad mixture of RPG and a Stadium idea.

I really do think if it's an RPG it should be on the handheld. Because if a Pokemon RPG comes to a big system like the GC I want something more then a few fancy moves and in 3D. The game should talk (some of you are thinking "If you put in your name it can't talk", FFX did a sweet sweet job of fixing that. It talked yet you could fill in the name), it should be as good as the handheld ones (Gyms, real towns, wild Pokemon, and that sort of stuff comes to mind) on the gameplay and style.
If Nintendo makes another Pokemon game on the big systems (I'm guessing Rev) then they better make it good.

So what you want is the usual Version Pokemon gameplay on the GC/Rev? We'd all like that. And um, can you elaborate on FFX? I haven't played it, so I'm not sure what you mean.

Yea I'd like to play a handheld Pokemon game on the GC/Rev. The style you see on the handhelds.
Or they could make it an MMORPG and that'd be better.

On FFX you could name the main character. But they always worked around saying his name (due to being able to name him). They'd say stuff like "This brings me to our newest guardian | Where is he | The star Player of the Zanarkand Abs | The son of Jetch" and that sort of stuff. They never said Tidus' name but you knew who they were talking about.

< < We'd need 256K speeds for MMORPGs like that, or else I'd get something really stupid.

Oh I see. But isn't that just avoiding the name? It'd be good if there was a Voice Program or something that could read the name out aloud ..

I think that they should make it so that you also put in the Dictionary letter symbol things for pronuciation in to so that you could have the name said. Like this one thing I saw on a computer where you typed it in and it read it bupe you had to type i in s with letter sounds=Pronunciation. It pronounced apple like Applay. LOL

TalkIT anyone? ;3 I found this weird little program on Limewire. It was virused, and I had to clean it. But if I type out sentences, it reads them out. Even if I put in random words, it reads them to the best it can.

Is there any word that if either the Revolution or the DS lets you play mp3s or anyother multimedia that the PSP uses?

In a way yea it's avoiding the name. But you never really notice it. I'll take the FFX style of talking over no talking at all. XD
I do wish there was a good voice program in there that will say the name. Maybe in the next FF game (seeing how they're good with RPGs so they set out with new things).

Microsoft Sam. I know M-Sam is not the best out there and sounds strange. But who knows what someone can do given a little time. I know some game down the road will be able to type in the name and the game will say the name. It's all a matter of time.

Not sure about the Rev (since little is known about it). But the DS/GBA has Play-Yan. It'll let you download MP3 to flash cards and you plug the card into a game cart and that goes into your GBA or DS like any other GBA game. It'll play songs on the DS/GBA like you can on the PSP. And since the Rev will be able to use flash cards it might also play MP3s like the DS.
If I remember right, the DS is going to get some movies for it. It can play movies (just not clear like the PSP) as is (for one, think of the Pokemon episodes on them GBA carts).

Right, even VII's style is good. I named Cloud into CloudMAX. o O;

And that'll bee really soon. Its like, there'll soon be discussion of this all over the place, and then we'll see a game introducing this.

GBA can also play movies. Shrek/2 and Shark Tale, and a few cartoons.. the best thing the GBA has come up with is the Sun Sensor for Boktai. NONE of the other consoles have come up with something like that.

You mean no talking on FFVII? XD

I hope it happens in the next gen. I mean we've gotten to a point where games should talk (discounting LoZ, since even TP isn't going to talk). Having them say names is just the next step in game voices/talking.

The Sun Sensor was strange whem I heard it. I can't think of many uses for it in games. But it does sound high-tech. I mean storing up energy on a game by using the sun.

And I seen it all now. I really have. The Nintendo Revolution will be able to download over 1K Sega Genesis games. That means you'll be able to play the first Sonic game along with the first Mario game on one system.

And yet again some more news. Well not news but pics of the Revolution.
https://media.revolutionreport.com/hardware/gdc06_rev5.jpg The system.
https://media.revolutionreport.com/hardware/gdc06_rev4.jpg The controller.
https://media.revolutionreport.com/hardware/gdc06_Rev1.jpg The top view.
https://media.revolutionreport.com/hardware/gdc06_rev2.jpg The side view.
https://media.revolutionreport.com/hardware/gdc06_rev3.jpg The back of the Rev.
Now it does look a little wider then what we saw at E3. I guess they packed a few more things into it.
Doesn't the first pic look sexy (yea I used that word XD)? I mean it's got the blue light around the CD slot, it looks sweet.

Edit:
I hate to add something after all that going on up there. But I think this is worth it.

It's a Legend of Zelda game for the DS. That's right, LoZ will be on the DS (and I hope some way to connect TP with this game).

And, maybe a name for the Rev...

I hope it's not true because the name sucks. <_<

1.) Agreed
2.) Awsome. I like its small size.
3.) ... freakin' AWSOME! I can't wait to get that!
4.) ... that name sucks. If it's legit then it's probably an online or download network.

Yeah, the no talking. XD Its better somehow.

I'd rather play N64 games on the Rev, I wonder what Pokemon Stadium/2 would feel like. Y'know, if we got to control the Pokemon to jump, run around and shoot its attacks and stuff like the human player in Col/XD, it'd be way better and stuff.

That is one horrible name. > < This'll kill customers ..

Is there any word on how the Revolution's online system will work?
It'll be totally Wi-fi. If you got Cable/DSL then you all you got to do is get a wireless router (Nintendo will sell them if you don't got one) and that's it. No need for wires or phone lines or any of that to get in your way.

To me this is really smart on Nintendo's part. I mean sure you got to buy a wireless router. But how many here will take a wired controller over a wireless one? On top of that you got to be in the room or run a long cable into the room with the Rev. How many lives on a two level house and the computer room is on the first level yet the room with the Rev is on the second? Being Wi-fi you can have it in any room and even have more then one Rev online too.
