Geez fudge would you read ever post before you post your own. Sarah (who is a1337a if you don't already know) Does have more access and information than we do. I love her and all but sometimes she just GET's on my NERVES by constantly DOING that THING with the STUFF that SHE KNOWS!!!!

*slaps himself*

Ok enough of that...But it is a fact that GBA sells more than GCN and X-Box and PS2. I'm not sure about combined, but I know that it sells more. I mean, c'mon, who doesn't like Golden Sun. I think the only ting that will kill PSP are the games, battery life, and the fact that it's coming out later...

and did you know that X-box is gonna make a handheld? OMG! That thing will last 5 minutes before microsoft goes (omg what have we done)

I haven't heard anything about it, but I woudln't doubt it. As said by someone on this forum (can't remember who), "Microsoft will soon come out with its own handheld, quite possibly with sandwich making and FBI hacking extras." Dang >.< I need to go look that exact quote up.

As I've said, what feels like a hundred times, I don't just speak for my store.
I'm a store manager, I have access to the world sales database.
I don't reveal figures, but I can say that the situation in my area is far from unique.
The GBA isn't as big a seller as people seem to think. According to your 'statistic', and using my store as purely a *ratio* point of view, given the fact we sell about 200 PS2 and Xbox games in our store per day, means we should sell at least that in GBA games?
I don't remember the last time we sold ten GBA games in a day.
Thats 1/20 of the sales, best case scenario.
And our store is not alone in this kind've situation.
I do back it it up.

The GBA made over 10 billion more yen then the PS2 (about $150 million). And yes these are from the same time.

Really, thats what I meant by experience. The GBA SP is the best-selling system in the world! Thats why I think the DS is gonna be better than the PSP! Sony is once again trying to take Nintendos market and make more money!

Sales of game software rose 11 percent to 42 billion yen ($375 million), contributing to most of the company's profits

GBA more than PS2?

You quoted the Gamecube sales.

The main support came from Nintendo's handheld, however. While revenues from hardware sales fell overall--some 13 percent to 39.5 billion yen ($353 million)--the company still sold 2.3 million GBAs during the first fiscal quarter, helping bolster hardware sales as the GameCube and, more imminently, the GBA head into the end of their development cycles. Furthermore, Nintendo was able to cut production costs on its platforms 21 percent compared to last year.

Compared to the PS2's sales:

Sony said today that its overall profit totaled 23.3 billion yen ($210 million) for the quarter, up from the 1.1 billion yen ($9.8 million) it reported for the same quarter a year ago. According to the Wall Street Journal, Sony indicated that "profits for the latest quarter were better than it had expected but maintained its forecast for the full year, saying it wished to be cautious about the future."

Theres a difference between revenue and profits.

They got that much for selling their GBAs, but it costs money to make them. Sony got about $700 million more than Nintendo(for gaming).

Hey its tricky wording, so thats ok.

Never-the-less it proves a1337a's and my point. Sony is the leader in gaming. Hmm it seems to be almost a 5:1 ratio in profits compared to Pretendo.

Don't mess around with Sarah, because she knows everything about everthing and more! :D

This has nothing to do with the gaming, but did you see Sony's over-all profit? Trillions... Thats so crazy.

That doesn't change the fact that the GBA is still the best selling system...period...

Maybe thats because its the only current handheld(n-gage doesent count).
All those statistics will change when they get a competitor.

You wouldn't know respect if it hit you in the face!

Anyway, I probably will end up buying both systems, even though I've just spent time degrading and flaming the PSP =3
You must be the problematic child. He even says that hes flaming in his posts...

The touch screen chat is not a problem. The PSP has USB ports, so I'm 99% sure you can use a keyboard. With the DS I see no such thing.

Yes, I always carry a keyboard with me everywhere I go. There is always one in my back pocket. Can't leave home without a big huge keyboard
Folding keyboard, mini keyboards, keypads, Folding mini keyboards, folding mini keypads?XD

Oh , sure, everyone sells mini- folding keypads that can fit the 54 keys used juts for writing into a small wallet sized foldable handheld. Get real. :\
It is real. They have been used in Palms and other handhelds for years now. You must be very late on this issue, but thats ok;)

No that is not what you do, silly fanboi.
Re-read the previous posts to find the error in your statement.

HINT: you said that Mini/folding keyboards arent sold. I proved you wrong by saying that they have been used in Palm Pilots as an example to show that they exist.

If that is not obvious enough, then I suggest leaving the discussion on this topic because it may be moving at a pace that makes it too hard for you to understand.

Brittany you are sitting here debating the future while PC is here getting hacked! And most of the stuff your said had mistakes anyway! Let's just stop this debate!

Alright, I'v had just about enough of you. First off, don't you ever come off calling me slow. second, of all, I was being sarcastic when I mentioned hooking up a palm pilot you dumbass, so who's the slow one here? third, I'm no fan boy; I have tried my best to look at both sides fairly. If anyone is the fanboy, it's you. Fourth, I don't have the hundreds of dollars to dish out to get a palm pilot, so I'm not exactly in on what tech they use. Fifth, the issue is NOT about the stupid palm pilots, it's about the systems. And sixth, just to reiterate, on that level DS is better because it has a built in Touch screen for it instead of some stupid hook-up keyboard, miniature or not.

So just shut up, because I've had all I can stand from you. I tried to be nice to you in that other thread, but you've drained me of my patience and I'm usually a very patient guy. You're so bent on disproving Pro-DS material, your selling youself as a real jerk and won't listening to anything anyone says, regardless. you always have to ruin topics like these.

To other readers, I apologize for the flame and cursing, and assure you I will avoid doing it again. I just couldn't stand anymore of little LFP's senseless bashing and brainwashed point of view instead of looking at both systems fairly.

I'm not joining this argument, but Pogiforce, are you TRYING to kill your rep? And, sombebody mentioned a Palm pilot, one of my fave devices.

Nothing of the sort. I'm trying to get her to quit with that demeaning attitude that is seriously ticking me off. How am I supposed to have a good debate if the person I'm debating against thinks she's so superior and can never be wrong? And just to top it off, she turned all three of these topics into a debate, even though they're supposed to talk about different things.

NOw I have tried being nice to her. I really have. When she started that PSp, hate DS club I was as kind and open hearted as I could be. I did not demean her point of view, I only pointed out certain things that she could get in trouble for. I know I have been getting increasingly meaner to her and if it's annoyed anyone I'm sorry. But I've just run out of patience dealing with this person's high and mighty attitude.

at any rate, if it's all the same to you, I'm just going to avoid these topics from now on. She'd only ruin the experience of a good debate.

She dosen't know much. Alot of her staments were lies or wrong.

Actually quite a bit of what she says is correct.
You're merely getting irritated because with each post made against the DS, your hopes and dreams are slowly dying.
Typical fanboi behavior.

This is childish. Come on, I made this thread to dicuss the differences of DS and PSP. IF you guys continue this is gonna be rated crap and its going to get closed.

So just stop, if you can't debate about the pros and cons of the PSP and DS intelligently, don't do it all. Yeah, Sarah and Brittany have annoying volcabularies that can make you feel small.

This is thread is goin to get heated (lol, thank goodness we aren't talking to Sony know-it-alls). Fans against one another. Can't take the heat, get out.

First of all. If we can get rid of fanboyish behaviour on BOTH sides FIRST, THEN we can start actual debates. And the harsh vocab itself shows complete disrespect for the opposition. it's a debate, not a flame war. So in the end, BOTH sides should stop.
