exatly my point! PSP has all of therse extras, but in GAMING, it is nothing compared to the DS. Here are the standout games for PSP- Metal gear Ac!d, Gran Turismo 3 (which sucks, there is no diff. in all of the racing games exept cars and graphics) and Spiderman( The first one, nobody buying that!) Here are DS's standout games-Mario 64x4, Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario Bros DS, and now the games we know and love that are 100% gonna be on there, Zelda and Pokemon. and we can expect alot of others too. ONE good game on PSP, Many on DS. point made.

There you go flaming about PSP games again. Have you ever thought that some people might like those games? Hmm, it seems that those games are preffered more on our current systems.

Square-Enix said they were not certain about making games on the PSP, and with the DS having two screens, they are going to have to realease a FF game on it.

Square-Enix HAS mentioned that they have something in store for PSP, they just haven't said what it is yet. We already know that Final Fantasy VII-AC will be released for PSP though. Tensions are just recently settling between Square and Nintendo. Thats why Square only has one Nintendo game.(on the current consoles)

For the people that think Square hasn't planned anything for PSP, think again.

Square has recently registered this Trademark and it currently includes:

-Before Crisis- Final Fantasy VII(cellphone game)
-Final Fantasy VII(ps1)
-Final Fantasy VII- Advent Children.(movie)
-And two new games. One starring Cloud Strife, and the other starring Vincint. Square has already commented that they won't make a remake for PS2 at the moment, so this coud possibly be what Square had in store for PSP. If you think it might not be for PSP, please post what you think it is for, because I wanna know.

Hmmm.. did I say that Sony has the best-selling games? Don't put words in my mouth. BOO YA. And the majority of people that play video games are kids. Maybe thats why Mario sells so well. PLUS, Mario is the first video game character to be recognized so much.

Cause apart from Pokemon, their games just sit on the shelf doing nothing.
For every one Nintendo game sold, we sell 10 Xbox games and 15 PS2 games.
For consoles its the same.
For the past fortnight, we've been sold out of Xboxes and PS2's, and had plenty of GCN's. But we didn't sell a single 'cube. And we were pluggin the **** out of them, cause we had so many in stock.
Nada.

I don't see why you base a systems prowess based on the likings of it in YOUR STORE. Games sell differently in different countries. In america, X-Box is actually getting some sales. In japan, X-Box is on the same boat Dreamcast is. Maybe PS2 games are just more popular in Australia...

and the average of gamers ARE NOT KIDS! How many times do I have to say this. The average gamer age is the early to mid twenties. The most popular selling games right now are sports games. Thats why PS2 does the best, cause it has the most sports games. Believe it or not...

Besides, sales always fluctuate. And not every PS2 game sells better than Nintendos. PS2 comes out with 100 games and 3 of em are good. Nintendo comes out with 50 games and 10 of em are good....do the math...

Besides, PSP has a real uphill battle goin for it.

Actually Lulu dear, I can backup my side with the fact I can check sales data worldwide from the computer system at my store.
And Nintendo's poor sales are reflected everywhere. We actually have a higher percentage of Nintendo stock vs Other Stock sold here in Aus, than you do in the states. And you've heard how dismal sales are here, so I can only imagine the states :P

I never said that GCN outsellf PS2. I know that PS2 is the best selling system right now (aside from GBA of course, but that doesn't count). I'm just saying that PS2 has a total of 1500 something games in it's library. 1400 of those are games that people use as doorstops.

Last year GCN said they had around 500 games, and a LOT of them are good games with known characters that get sales.

You'd think if the ratio was as high as you're claiming, which we know you made up, that more games would be returned, no?
But maybe, just maybe, the figures might speak for themselves?
I would say, from experiance, no more than 1 in 50 PS2 games we sell, comes back cause someone didn't like it.

Thats because some 3rd Party companies make games people don't play. Sony accepts these games, but they don't sell as well.

On the contrary, the good old companies(Square, Rockstar,etc) make games that people play, but don't make any of the 1400 games that don't sell.

Most of those games,we don't see much of in stores, cuz the store knows not to order them.
