Google doesn't have a sound search function yet, so we can do this!
Anyway, relatively simple concept here. I PM out a sound clip or three from a Nintendo game, teams identify said clip. Each clip may or may not be joined by an obscure hint. Sometimes it will be the whole song, sometimes just a ~30sec part of it. Points within the quiz will be awarded for correctly identifying the series, game, and title of each track (a brief description of when it plays is acceptable for the title). There will be a bias towards the Pokemon series because Pokecommunity.
Also worth noting that I define a "nintendo game" here VERY broadly as any game that either A) Was made by Nintendo proper B) was made by a 3rd party that works near exclusively with Nintendo C) Debuted at retail exclusively on a Nintendo console. Most things that fall into categories A and B also fall into C, but that's neither here nor there. Yes, this DOES mean FF1 counts, not that I'll use it. There are a couple odd situations this creates (i.e. I intend to use some Ace Attorney music, but the most recent one is ineligible because it never went to retail at ALL) I decided to limit it to Nintendo stuff because that's what most people here know best.
This is not intended so that every team gets full points, or that teams should rush. speed points will not be awarded at all - the number of correct answers is the sole determinant of who gets what points.
I also need to figure out how to embed sound clips, otherwise I'll be linking them from my Drive.
