I just got my Nintendo Wi-Fi (USB Connector) and I absolutely love it!

I never knew how great the Pokemon games were with it and I definately say it's a great thing to have when you want to play against far away friends and get Pokemon you couldn't get in normal gameplay.

So if you do have Wi-Fi, do you like it and why?

And if you don't, why not and do you wish you have it?

I only have Wi-Fi in McDonalds, lmao. And I was only able to get it recently, so I'm still fairly new to using it and all. I've never traded with anyone, used the GTS, etc. I've only used it for two Mystery Gifts, Victini and Mew.

Yeah i definitely like wi-fi since it allows me to trade on the GTS, where i got most of the pokemon that were not available on my game like the starters, and version exclusives and such. I am also thankful that gift pokemon can now be obtained through WFC unlike those who can only be obtained via wireless.

Wifi is great, almost every console I have plays over it.
it's also great if you have friends in other countries.

it definitely made trading and battling easier. before you had annoying cables that didn't always work and it was too troublesome to trade. it's also become something social, before you traded with people who were already your friends but it's great that now you can become friends with someone in a different part of the world

I do have Wi-Fi in my house, but it doesn't connect to my DS, because it was configured that way. There are times when I do access a hotspot where I can connect my DS to, though (when I can trade with other people around the world).

I think WiFi is the greatest thing to happen to, basically everything. I mean interconnectivity of the internet in general. But yes, it's Croconawesome. Especially since I don't have many friends who play Pokémon so finding them on the web is a gift from Arceus.

    I have Wi-Fi but I can't access it in my DS games because it doesn't allow WPA security systems or something ;__;

Wi-fi is great and all, but I sort of long for the old days when pokemon was simpler. There wasn't 30 legendaries, no EVs/IVs, no competitive battling, no GTS... just the simple satisfaction of Pokemon. n__n

    -is a nostalgic person-

lol, EVs/IVs and competitive battling existed in GenI too you know? You probably just pine for the innocence associated with those days. XD

Personally, I rarely use wifi. I don't need to collect all pokemon and I certainly don't need to trade to acquire most of the pokemon I'd like to use. I can see the benefits of having wifi, but it's just not for me. :/

Sad as it sounds, Wi-Fi was one of the main reasons I bought Heart Gold.

As none of my friends play pokemon (Or even own a DS for that matter), my only way of trading and hopefully battling fully relies on wi-fi.

Wi-fi has definitely enhanced my gaming experience....without it, I'd never have owned any of the awesome pokemon I have, such as the last two movies' respective events.....they do make the games more fun when you can have an epic battle with Giovanni....

Also, the simple fact that if I wanted to, I could actually complete a pokedex! (and own trade-evolution pokemon, rather than kicking ass with my Machoke...).

Overall, though, I like the choices of pokemon having wi-fi gives me....

It's helped me complete my Platinum Pokedex and given me other people to battle besides my brother, so it's been a benefit to me. I've also finally been able to get my hands on some of the event Pokemon.
